The Effects of a Raped Woman People who were sexually abused are more than likely to become a sex predator in their lifetime .Based on society today; rape has become one of the main issues in our urban communities. There are many types of rapes: Statutory Rape, Date Rape, Spousal Rape, Age-Related Rape, Diminished Rape, and even Prison Rape are only the dew of many. This often leads to PDS (post dramatic stress) and also can lead to STDs like Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Genital Herpes and HIV. It also can be an effect of unwanted pregnancies. This is a pushing issue across the world that goes often unnoticed. Women are left deal with the situations alone and not enough organizations to help deal with what really needs focusing. Nobody has ever killed themselves over a broken arm. But every day, thousands of people kill themselves because of a broken heart. Why? Because emotional pain hurts much worse than physical pain.(Markus) What is Rape? What is Rape? What is a Rapist? Well rape is a sexual act

that the other person is not okay with. A rapist is someone (either male or female) who forces his/her victim to have sexual intercourse without the person consent to do so. Rape also leads into an unexpected turn. This type of role play happens often and is very common. Most people ask what can be considered as

rape and how will you dictate if someone is actually raped of if the person agreed to the act. When mad day comes tables turn and mouths run and play victim. In this case, the victim can be brought to jail instead of the alleged suspect. In conclusion, there is no secret that rape is a huge problem around the world, but the problem should not be compounded by women making false accusations for the sake of making money off the famous. Far too many of these women are destroying good men while making themselves out as the victim. The penalties for these women are far too low, and do not reflect the price the men pay for being accused (Williams) Statutory Rape Statutory Rape happens commonly in schools. This has been an un-resolving case that leads to many unwanted breakages of virginitys. In 2006, was reported the raping of a teacher name Holly Hatcher, -who was a 25-year-old recent graduate from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee-. She had a relation with one of the students. Was this rape or an actual relationship between the teacher and her student? The teacher was convicted and brought to jail. The police said that these cases are often left into files and never brought up again. The teen was later diagnosed with post-dramatic stress. The child guardian wanted justice, but justice for the teen was not found.

There is an urgent need to completely rethink prevention, law enforcement, prosecution, social responsibility, media and everything on rape (Reporter Thomas,Suizanna Incest Rape Incest Rape seems to have more of an effect on family issues. In November 2008, a 54-year-old English businessman, raped his two daughters and fathered 7 children he had made with the daughters. He claimed that The Almighty God made him do such tremendous actions. The daughters were brought into custody and counseling. Life had changed for them. Whats triggers the most was that they wanted to take the past away from them but they couldnt take the past out of them. Rape Abortions One of the top issues to be reported is Rape abortions. Our experiences are varied. Many of us carried our pregnancies to term. Some of us raised or are raising our children, while others placed our children in adoptive homes etc (Young Women of America). Women were left with regret of giving up their child because of who the partner they conceived the child with. Often I cry. Cry because I could not stop the attacks. Cry because my daughter is dead. And I cry because it still hurts. (Edith) It can be the most deceiving and crying out for help

words a woman can even say. Does our society really care about the afterlife of others when they are going through tough times? Acquaintance Rape Acquaintance Rape doesnt happen often. It is when two people that know each other often known as Date Rape are involved in a social relationship at the time. Acquaintance rape happens in everyday lifestyles. What is the difference from acquaintance rape and stranger rape is the relationship between the victim and the offender impacts the sexual assault when victims know their attacker. A victim may trust their acquaintance and often let down their guard down. It also has an effect on how the victim feels and reacts to the attack. Aggravate Rape Aggravate Rape can sentence up to life in prison. It is forced sex acts that leads up to threats or death. It deals with leaving one person unconscious or drugged up. On July 15 2012, A Worcester police officer has been charged with aggravated rape of a woman following an incident at Bancroft Tower. Police department news release stated that The Worcester Police Investigative Unit arrested Worcester police officer Rajat Sharda Monday night on charges of aggravated rape, armed robbery, and intimidation of a witness, threats with the intent

to extort by police, and open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior. The woman was diagnosed with HIV months later. She was never cured and died five years later. Approaching of a Rapist Most people wonder on how a rapist will approach you. Most criminals approach their victims posing as an authority figure; such as a police officer for instance. They often approach victims by request or assistance. These sexual predators map out every attack, scouting location, stalking, plotting on an escape, and finding a place to burn all evidence. This shouldnt affect you and let you be a victim to the world. In order to

prevent this attack it is best to stay away from places and things that you know can project to it. Self-blame Self-blame is among the most common of both short- and long-term effects in coping skill that inhibits the healing process and can often be helped by a therapy method known as cognitive restructuring. There are two main types of self-blame: behavioral self-blame (undeserved blame based on actions) and characterological self-blame (undeserved blame based on character). Victims who experience behavioral self-blame feel that they should have done something differently and therefore

feel that it is their fault. Victims who experiences self-blame feel there is no way of turning back. In addition to reaching out for help, you will also need to reach within yourself. Your biggest ally will be your emotions. Through them, you will learn more about what really happened to you, how the abuse affected you, and what you need to do in order to heal. Your emotions will enable you to reclaim the self you long ago hid away. (Engel) Womens Vulnerability to Rape Ways for eliminating women's vulnerability to rape involving the power of a relationship between men and women. Women's vulnerability will not end with ones change alone; there have to be a social change also. Society trains females to be emotionally and physically fit to respond effectively to danger. Learning self-defense in schools and on the job would be a step towards womens vulnerability. Women learn to be passive, nurturing, accepting and compliant. Most rapists select victims they can overpower. Most women are unwilling to challenge men's offensive actions because of their conditioning and emotional mindset. But as women, I feel that we fear that showing that we are emotionally vulnerable could make us seem weak. It makes us seem like our emotions will take over our work, and we wont be able to function while drowning in a sea of our own overanalyzed

emotionswhether they are sadness, anger or annoyance. Its too dangerous to risk it. Even though plenty of men experience depression, alcoholism and other health conditions and diseases that interfere with their work and are deeply rooted in their psyche, this will never be attributed to their gender. We seem slightly upset, and the looming possibility of our period or ever presences of our maternal instincts creates an automatic divide (Miller). The intense campaigns against domestic

violence, rape, sexual harassment, and inequity in the schools all too often depend on an image of women as weak and victimized (Dunn). Helping the lives of women The problem of rape violence and broken hearts can be eliminated. However, it will take time, patience, and effort on the part of many people. A solution for the actions of rapists is for society to help women by notifying everyone about rape and inform them about the seriousness of this epidemic. Antirape supporters can organize programs to help nourish them because rape is very traumatizing. It can take many years to get over rape, and some never get over it because it is a very mind wrecking thing.
