I started out by creating a new logo for Venture Trail Guides. I then brought in the logo into InDesign and added elements that would complement the message of the company. I used a repeating color scheme throughout the design and added pictures from Yellowstone Park to bring things together.

Create a unique vintage poster using original materials. I really like the old gig Poster type of feel. I thought that i would try to recreate that feel while using my own images and shapes. It is one of my first ones so it still isnt as good as others but its work in progress. I used adobe illustrator as well as photoshop to create this poster.

I started out by thinking of a company that could possibly exist. I then thought about how I could use different types of logos throughout this project. I then sketched different ideas for the logos on paper. After I had narrowed down my sketches I chose 3 that I liked. I then went into Adobe Illustrator and brought my ideas to life. I used many of the different tools in Illustrator.

I started out by thinking of a new company I could make a logo for. Im not a huge go green person so I thought it would be fun to see if i could create a cool logo with something I wasnt very interested in. I then began sketching different ideas on paper. I then took some of my favorite ideas and created them in Adobe Illustrator. Once I had the logos, I laid out the business card in Adobe InDesign.

Event Ad
A full bleed Event ad promoting a silent aucion for the BYU-Idaho Conservaion Committee. 1 February 2014

create an event ad using only microsoft word. I started off my design by formulating a plan. I found a picture that I liked and used a scanner to import the image. I then Microsoft word to design the event ad. I used various shapes to create repetition and flow. I used a few different shapes to create a leaf looking shape and proceeded to use the leaf shape to make a logo in the title. I used various shades of green and brown to create a natural looking ad.

To start my Flier i started by using the FOCUS process. I then made sketches of different designs that I could possibly make. From there I looked for different opinions on my designs. I chose a design and then created an InDesign file for my project. I used different boxes and lines to create repetition. The Title is much bigger then the body text to show dominance and catch your eye. I edited the G in the title to make the design more interesting. I kept the body copy small as to not detract from the rest of the message of the flier.

I started out by drafting a few different ideas on paper. I had originally made a baseball flier but after a few different design ideas I ended up liking the snowboarding theme better. I found the two pictures and the logo I used off the internet. I placed them into photoshop and used the masking tools to blend the images together. I then placed the logo and the wording into the picture and played around with the placement until I found places I liked.

I started out by thinking of a color scheme I could use for my poster. I like the Analogous color schemes so I decided to use one. I liked the color of the red bike and the orange brick wall. I then took my photo and edited it in Photoshop. I then designed an add around the bicycle picture.

I had previously created the logo in Adobe Illustrator. I then used HTML to create a web page. It wasnt very appealing and didnt have any design principles in the layout. To help make the website more appealing I used CSS to change the colors and the layout of the webpage.
