God Calls Us To Worship

The Call to Worship

An intrest in the Saviours blood? Died He for me who caused His pain? For me, who Him to death pursued? Amazing love! How can it be That Thou my God shouldst die for me? Amazing love! How can it be That Thou, my God shouldst die for me? He left His Fathers throne above So free, so infinite His grace! Emptied Himself of all but love And bled for Adams helpless race Tis mercy all, immense and free For, O my God, it found out me Amazing love! How can it be That Thou, my God shouldst die for me? Long my imprisoned spirit lay Fast bound in sin and natures night Thine eye diffused a quickning ray I woke, the dungeon flamed with light My chains fell off, my heart was free I rose, went forth, and followed Thee Amazing love! How can it be That Thou, my God shouldst die for me? No condemnation now I dread Jesus, and all in Him is mine Alive in Him my living Head And clothed in righteousness divine Bold I approach th eternal throne And claim the crown Through Christ my own Amazing love! How can it be That Thou, my God shouldst die for me?

! And can it be that I should gain

Good Friday services are observed by Christians around the world as they reflect upon the sobering events of that Friday some 2,000 years ago when the Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for us and for our salvation. The service will be approximately 1 hour long, and will include various readings and songs that help tell the story and explain the significance of this great act of love. Note: childcare will NOT be provided for this service.

The Season of Lent: March 5 through April 20th

The Season of Lent 2014

confess with our lips that Christ Jesus, being in very nature God did not consider equality with God something to be grasped but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.

The season of Lent (from the Latin meaning Spring) is a time of the year in which Christians from all kinds of backgrounds set aside time to reflect upon the meaning of the death of Jesus (the season covers the 40 days leading up to the celebration of Easter beginning on Wed, Mar 5 and concluding on Sunday, April 20). During our Sundays together this season of Lent, well journey through a study called, Keeping in Step with the Spirit, as we look at the Person and Work of the Holy Spirit. Before His death, Jesus promised to give us His Spirit, Gods personal presence who enables us to live the Christian life.
