Labour's plan to get Britain building family homes

Labour's Anneliese Dodds and John Howarth celebrate Ed Miliband's successful campaign which has forced some of the energy companies to freeze bills

You're 2,061 worse off under David Cameron

Families all over South East England are on average 2,061 a year worse off under the Tories. Only Labour will make Britain better off. David Cameron doesnt understand Ed Miliband will freeze energy bills, the cost-of-living crisis facing saving an average household 120 hardworking people and pensioners. a year. Well expand free childcare for working parents, and well help Prices are rising, wages are people struggling to get on the stagnant, and living standards are housing ladder by getting Britain falling. building again. This election is your chance to send a message that this Tory-led government should put hardworking people first and take urgent action to tackle the cost-ofliving crisis that families are facing. David Cameron's NHS crisis

THURSDAY MAY 22 ELECTION SPECIAL

Hardworking people will be better off with Labour
Labour will expand free childcare
All primary school children will be guaranteed access to childcare from 8am 6pm if Labour wins the next General Election. Parents with 3-4 year olds will get help too. Labour will increase the free childcare available to working parents to 25 hours a week.

Winning for you

Across the South East children will benefit from Labours childcare plan. Well pay for this by a tougher levy on the banks. Under David Cameron the banks are paying almost 3 billion less in tax than they did in 2010. It cannot be right that when times are tough the banks are paying less tax while working families pay more. Thats why Labour will force banks to pay their fair share and use that money to help young families give their kids the best possible start in life.

Labour will get Britain building family homes

Millions of families in the South East are struggling with housing costs because David Cameron isnt getting enough houses built. Labour will get 200,000 homes built a year by 2020, creating up to 230,000 construction jobs. And we will get a fair deal for families who rent, with a national register of private landlords and an end to rip-off fees and charges.

From Milton Keynes to Margate and everywhere in between, Labour is working hard for you and your family.

Only with Labour will Britain be better off

THE TORIES CAN'T MAKE BRITAIN BETTER OFF because they only stand up for the privileged few. They just dont understand the cost-of-living crisis facing ordinary people. Thats why theyve handed out tax breaks to millionaires whilst making hardworking families worse off. THE LIB DEMS CAN'T MAKE BRITAIN BETTER OFF because they are part of the problem. You cant trust a word Nick Clegg says. The Lib Dems have broken their promises and are propping up a Tory-led government that only stands up for the privileged few. UKIP CAN'T MAKE BRITAIN BETTER OFF because they are even more right-wing than the Tories. A vote for UKIP is a vote for tax breaks for the richest, higher taxes for working families and even deeper cuts to public services.

Electricity and gas bills up 300 under David Cameron

Ed Miliband will freeze your gas and electricity bills until 2017 if Labour wins the next General Election. His campaign has already forced some of the big energy companies to freeze prices. Gas and electricity bills have already soared by 300 under David Cameron. Millions of people are struggling to keep up with energy bills rising faster than wages.

But David Cameron has done nothing to stop the big energy companies putting up prices while making record profits. Labour is standing up for hardworking people and pensioners being ripped off by the energy companies.

Labours gas and electricity bill freeze will save the average family 120 a year. And we will reset the broken energy market and create a tough new regulator to stop overcharging. Find out how much you could save at labour.org.uk/energy.

A vote for Labour at this election is a vote for:

Freezing gas and electricity bills until 2017 Building more homes 200,000 homes a year by 2020 25 hours of free childcare for working parents of three and four year olds A compulsory jobs guarantee for young people unemployed for over a year Strengthening the minimum wage and stopping recruitment agencies hiring just from overseas

We need Labour MEPs who will work hard for people in South East England Anneliese Dodds and John Howarth are leading Labours challenge on 22 May Anneliese says, Voters face a big choice. What sort of Europe do we want: a Europe for bankers and big business, or a Europe for everyone? You can't trust the Tories with your NHS

The crisis in A&E shows that you cant trust the Tories with the NHS. At the last election, David Cameron promised the NHS would be safe in his hands. But over the last year, almost a million people have waited over four hours in A&E, and since the election our NHS has lost thousands of nurses and other frontline staff. Use your vote on the 22 May to stand up for our NHS. Only with Labour will the NHS be better off. David Cameron is responsible for the crisis in our NHS. Hes wasted 3 billion and caused chaos with a top-down reorganisation nobody wanted. Thousands of managers have been made redundant and then re-hired, many on six-figure salaries. And cuts to elderly care are sending more older people to A&E and making it harder to get the care they need at home. Labour rescued the NHS after years of Tory neglect before. Well do it again. Well repeal David Camerons NHS changes that put private profit before patients, so that NHS professionals can focus on your care, not competition law. And well give patients and the public a say when changes to local services are proposed.
