The housing and )earing support shall )e constructed of structural steel mem)ers to prevent vi)ration and rigidly support the shaft and )earings. The wheel shall )e of the non-overloading )ackward incline or airfoil centrifugal type. Wheels shall )e statically and dynamically )alanced. The wheel cone and fan inlet cone shall )e carefully matched and shall have precise running tolerances for maximum performance and operating efficiency. Welded steel vanes shall straighten the flow of air from the fan discharge and support )earings and drives. Turned% precision ground and polished steel shafts shall )e siBed so the first critical speed is at least '-C over the maximum operating speed for each pressure class. $lose tolerances shall )e maintained where the shaft makes contact with the )earing. Twin Fans; #. The in-line twin fan shall have two @'A independent direct driven centrifugal impellers each fitted with an external rotor motor @# duty 9 # stand)yAI all enclosed in a rectangular metal )ox. The centrifugal fan shall )e either single width single inlet @+W+&A type or dou)le width dou)le inlet @,W,&A type where re=uired with forward-curved centrifugal impellers running in metal scrolls. The centrifugal fan shall )e direct driven6 close-coupled to an external rotor motor having class JBK or $lass JFK insulation and shall )e a)le to operate at #-(($ medium6exhaust air temperature% each motor shall have )uiltin6overload protection. The fan casing shall )e fa)ricated with either galvaniBed steel sheet with 1 ( coating or stainless steel and fastened thru matching metal screws or aluminum alloy that houses two independent centrifugal fan assem)lies. The fan shall discharge into a common outlet plenum cham)er protected )y linked shutter system which prevents )low-)ack through the stand)y fan. The casing shall )e provided with an acoustical6insulation lining LK thick rigid fi)erglass x 78 kg6m* density mat faced. An JAuto-$hange over /anelsK shall )e provided with complete air flow sensors% switches% contactors% relays% switches% pilot lamps fully wired to line voltage x #'(6''( volts in order to control and guaranty a whole year non-stop fan operation. An individual non-fused disconnect switch shall )e provided to allow for fan servicing and future maintenance needs.
