2.2 Collection of information Collection of information is a detailed look of the current system.

It will covered the current system progress,the problems and actions should be taken, to improve the current system. The purposes of collection information system is find out system requirement. The Technique interview and questionnaire are used to collect information of the current system. A) Interview The collection of information for this project is done by interviewing several interviews such as manager,employee,customer. They provide a lot of helpful information. I had gather the following information from: a) Employee Name :Ng Shien Shien, Chuan Pui Yan, Cheong Jin Nee Venue Time :G Hotel,Penang. :3.00-5.00pm

Most of the employees agree to replace the current system with a new database system. The new data base system can speed up the process of property rental. They feel happy with the new database system because it can work fast and reliable.In conclusion the new database system is welcomed by them. b) Manager Name: Chuah Sok Peng Venue Time :Lone Pine Hotel :2.00-5.00pm

Most of the managers agree to replace the current system with a new database system. The new database system can reduce data redundancy. They feel happy with the database system because it is convenient and easy to use. In conclusion, the new databased system is welcomed by them. c) Customer Name: Ng Xuan Xuan, Chuah Yuan Yuan ,Cindy Goh Venue Time : Hotel Mingood : 4-5pm

Most of the customers agree to replace the current system with a new database system.The new database system can save the customers time. They feel happy with new database system because the customer need not to wait so long for the process of property rental. In conclusion, the data-based system is welcomed by them.

B) Questionnaire technique Questionnaire technique can collect information of the existing system from a group of pupil. In this project, questions are set and distribute to a group of customer and employee.I had collect the information from i. Employee The response from the employee shows that there are 90% agree to replace the new database system but 10% from them disagree the implementation of the new system because they didnt have any computer knowledge. ii. Manager The response from the manager shows that there are 95% agree to replace the new database system but 5% from them disagree the implementation of the new system because they misconcept think that this new system will make the process become more complicated. iii. Customer The response from the manager shows that there are 100% agree to replace the new system database system. It makes customer more convenient.

2.3 New System Requirement The Property Rental Agreement Information System compose of 9 process. The process can be modeled using DFD as shown in Figure 2.2.The detailed of each process are describe below: Do Marketing Research Record Property Information Select Property Viewing Property Inform the employee Rent Out Property Make balance payment Update customer information

a) Do marketing research During the new database system, the employee need to do some market research to know more information about property rental agreement information system. b) Record Property Information After doing market research, the information must be record by manager for further use. c) Select Property Before viewing property you must select property first. d) Viewing Property After select a property you interest, you may take a view of your rental property.

e) Rent out Property When a customer want to rent a property from the Golden Property Sdn.Bhd, the employee must find the property are available or not and whether the customer satisfied the property. The employee will input the rental record in the predesign form at the database system. The records are automatically store in the data-base. f) Inform the employee After renting the property, the customers need to inform the employee for return the property. g) Make balance payment Customer will make the payment to employee for rental the property. Customer will use cash to pay the rental property deposit payment. h) Update Customer Information After the customer returning the property, the employee should update the property status. i) Report Generation
