About Us
McKenna Engineering & Equipment Company, Inc. has been, and continues, serving the industrial market in California and Western Nevada since 1978. This includes, but is not limited to, industries such as oil & gas refining, production and pipeline, chemical, power, mineral mining, cement, general manufacturing, environmental, aerospace, etc. The Company has evolved over the past 30 years from operating exclusively as a pump equipment distributor, to a point today where we are a Manufacturers Representative, Distributor, Consulting Engineer, System Integrator, and Engineering Contractor. McKenna Engineering & Equipment Co., Inc. is now part of a group of companies that we refer to as McKenna Companies. This group consists of three corporations; McKenna Engineering & Equipment Co., Inc., Pump Systems, Inc. and Environmental Water Solutions, Inc. Pump Systems and Environmental Water Solutions are both subsidiary companies of McKenna Engineering. Pump Systems, or PSI, has been, and continues, serving the sanitary markets (food, beverage, dairy, biopharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic/personal care) in California and Western Nevada since 1965. Environmental Water Solutions, or EWS, was incorporated in December 2004. EWS services the industrial and municipal water and wastewater markets in California and Western Nevada. The synergy between the companies is that they all perform nearly the same functions, but in different markets: All three companies sell process equipment for handling air, gas, liquids, and dry bulk solids. In addition to equipment sales we provide application engineering, system engineering (including design and system integration), fabrication services, construction and installation services, and equipment repair - which includes field service. Both McKenna Engineering and Pump Systems hold Class A California Engineering Contractors Licenses. We are horizontally market focused while offering vertically integrated services to every industry. The Companies operate out of two offices: Carson in Southern California and Fairfield in Northern California. The Carson office incorporates 18,000 square feet of space and serves as corporate headquarters and manufacturing. The Fairfield office includes an equipment service shop and sales offices to directly support Northern California activities.

EQUIpMenT Sales
The Company represents a full line of process equipment, sold as individual units or packaged as complete systems with drives, instrumentation, piping, etc. In addition to complete units, McKenna Engineering supports all products sold with 24 hour Parts and Service availability.

COnsTRUcTIOn & InsTallaTIOn

As a licensed California Contactor, the company provides turnkey services which include the installation and erection of all the equipment sold. This includes civil, structural, mechanical and electrical trades, including project management services.

EnGIneeRInG
The Engineering department is a diverse group of project engineers that provide support for the company with a wide range of services: application engineering for equipment selection, system design and integration, system analysis and troubleshooting, as well as project management. The departments design work includes mechanical systems, process engineering, and infrastructure layout. Design work is done primarily in SolidWorks (3-D modeling).

EQUIpMenT SeRVIce & RepaIR

Since 1978 McKenna Engineering has supported equipment sales with a full service repair shop. Our team of mechanics work on virtually all rotating process equipment; blowers, fans, pumps, and process compressors. Every repair comes with a one year warranty against workmanship and defects. In addition to the repair shop, we provide Field Services as well. This includes removal and reinstallation, field alignment, and start up services.

FaBRIcaTIOn
Custom fabrication includes skidded equipment, piping systems, platforms and specialty vessels. Welders are certified on a variety of weld processes including MIG, TIG, and Flux-cored; meeting standards such as ASME and AWS specifications. Inspection and Quality Control include hydrostatic testing to 3000 psig, and Mag Particle, Dye Pen as well as Radiography services for weld inspection.

SYSTEM DESIGN & INTEGRATION

Pre packaged, pre piped and pre wired, we can design and supply a complete system that integrates into existing processes. Modular design makes transport and field assembly very efficient allowing for quicker installation and implementation. All packages are quality inspected, and can include an electro-mechanical or even a full run performance test depending on the application.
