    The goal of our project for the Brecksville Reservation is to propose a new destination that makes the reservation an asset for regional and local connections. The amphitheater bridges these local and regional connections through its participation in what we propose to be "The Music Line," which utilizes the existing rail line. The line is to run from Jacob's Pavilion down to Blossom Music Center, with the Brecksville Reservation as a central stop. We designed an area of flooding along the river’s edge as well as a series of recreational services related to the new water environment. These elements are linked with a boardwalk network that is designed to create many diverse opportunities for interacting with the water. The theme of flooding is reinforced by locating a new amphitheater within the flood zone. The flood of water merges with a flood of people during performances, and the paths become a new way to blend the interactions of the people within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park region with the natural conditions that the parks conserve.     Providing a performance venue in a park setting between two existing outdoor venues. The amphitheater creates and absorbs a secondary flood of people.

    Increasing the dam height to provide an alternative solution to the decline of a riverine ecosystem. A reconcilliation lacustrine ecosystem creates diverse habitat opportunities and new recreational potential.
