The Contribution of Teachers comprehension and Attitude toward Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) to OSH Implementation in the Practice Learning at Automotive Workshop of Vocational High School in Malang City. Teacher controls an important role in the creation of learning conditions in the automotive workshop. During a practice learning in the workshop, students interact with equipment, also faced its hazardous. Therefore comprehension and attitudes of the teacher about the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) becomes very important. The aim of this study is to determine: (1) the contribution of teacher's comprehension of the OSH on the implementation of OSH in the learning practice in the automotive workshop at Vocational High School in Malang, (2) the contribution of OSH teachers attitudes toward the implementation of OSH on learning practices in automotive workshop at Vocational High School in Malang, and (3) the contribution of Comprehension and Attitudes of Teachers toward OSH as together with the Implementation OSH on Learning Practices in the automotive workshop atVocational High School in Malang. Population in this study are 72 mechanic automotive teachers who are teaching in period 2008/2009 at Vocational High School in Malang. Those are to be the respondents of collecting data. The collecting data varibles are about the teachers comprehension on OSH (X1) is done by using a test, teachers attitudes on OSH (X2) using a questionnaire, and the implementation of OSH (Y) using the observation sheet. Data analysis are descriptive, partial correlation and double regressions. The descriptive data analysis shows that the comprehension of mechanic automotive teachers in Malang on the OSH is in enough category, teachers attitudes on the OSH is in good category, and the implementation of the OSH on practice learning is in good category. Correlational analysis results show that: (1) there is a significant relationship between teachers comprehensionon the OSH and the implementation of the OSH, (2) there is a significant relationship between teacher's attitudes on the OSH and the implementation of the OSH (Y), (3) there is a significant relationship teachers comprehension, attitudes on the OSH toward the implementation of the OSH. Both variables together contributes 77% of the changing of OSH implementation. The contribution comes from teacher's comprehension of effective variables for 51.35% and the variables of teachers attitudes contributes effectively OSH for 25.87%. Based on the results, suggesting to (1) the school may seek a special training for teachers to enhance comprehension of the OSH in Automotive Technics, and develop curriculum in order to make the OSH formulated and firmed to be the its own subject, (2) mechanic automotive teachers hopefully to be active in increasing the knowledge of the automotive OSH with finding and accessing to relevant sources.
