Muhannad Alharthi G00756534 AC4 My culture Culture plays a very important part in our lives that it shapes our

personality. So, if culture shapes us what shapes culture? Thats what critical thinkers would ask. Old Traditions, customs, and lessons that our grandmother and father taught us some stories or old say that have wisdom. For instance, theres a cure for each disease, but stupidity. Furthermore, my culture is shaped by a verity of different aspects, religions in one of them. Some believes and social practices are all fall under what we call Religion. For example, People obey to what they think god asks them to do in their religion. In my religion, Islam, we pray five times in a day. In addition, some prays encounter the time of classes. So, I tried to adapt praying in college, because it is important to do pray in time. Unfortunately, if I pray people look at me strangely asking questions about what I am doing. Moreover, we believe it is normal to put your arm around your friends will walking male- but hear in the US they will have the wrong idea. They will think I am not straight, gay in other words. Furthermore, multiculturalism is what causes misunderstanding or being rude. For example, I was one eating in the restaurant rise with my hand, when suddenly all the table that were around me giving me a contempt lock. This situation would have been avoided if I had known that this action is wrong. So, I thought I only have to adapt to the culture, but I was wrong. Later, I notice that assimilation was the right way. I had to change and forget about things in my culture to live in America I had to choose how to do thing in the American way.
