Stopsley High School Careers Education, Information, Advice & Guidance Policy

Rationale CEIAG has an important contribution to make to the education of all students in order to make an effective transition from school to adulthood and employment. The school ill provide a ran!e of opportunities for students to learn about ork, the orld of ork, the skills re"uired for ork and the #ualification Path ays available to them. $ell thou!ht%throu!h decisions about learnin! and ork informed by effective CEIAG can increase participation in learnin! and, in turn, raise attainment and support further pro!ression. Purposes & Aims The main purpose of CEIAG is to provide students ith the opportunity to en!a!e in a ran!e of activities that ill contribute to their kno led!e and understandin! of the orld of ork and the "ualification path ays suitable for students& individual needs. The school is committed to not 'ust fulfillin! its statutory re"uirements in this area but providin! for students e(ceptional support and !uidance throu!hout their time at )topsley *i!h. The team is line mana!ed by the *eadteacher and supported by a link !overnor. )ub'ect staff are responsible for identification of ork related learnin! elements ithin schemes/plans and implementation of ork related elements. Review Each academic year the team ill rite an Action Plan for the 0epartment to be incorporated into the )chool 0evelopment Plan.
