Introduction The Legacy of the Tiananmen Square is one of the most important political events in Chinese history. The legacy involved a team of peaceful demonstrators who were mostly students whose demonstration focused on the Chinese governments being democratic. Up to date, political analysts have tried to focus on the events that occurred on the 5th of June 1985. The lives of peaceful demonstrators came to an end after the Chinese government decided to end the protests of the demonstrators in a not so civil manner. The demonstration was ended by the Chinese army who came in with tankers and started firing at the peaceful unarmed demonstrators. One captivating event that occurred during the legacy of the Tiananmen Square is one that is referred to as the legacy of the tank man. Journalists, since the Legacy of the Tiananmen Square have tried to get the identity of one of the protestors who showed a lot of courage and bravery matching against the armed tankers with the Chinese army at the square (Sean, A, "Tank Man": The Picture That Almost Wasn't). Video footages show the man matching against the armed Chinese tankers. He moved in front of the leading tanks before entry into the square and blocked the passage in a peaceful. The tank could not overrun him and therefore had to stop. All the other tanks which followed had to stop as well. The saddest part on the legacy of the tank man is that his fate is up to date unknown. He was grabbed by some army soldiers and no one among the protestors or journalists was able to recover the full identity of the man. Some journalists put word across that the tank mans identity was Wang Weilin (Chinoy, M, The lingering legacy of Tiananmen Square). However, the mans identity could not be found in the data base of neither the deceases nor the imprisoned. This is

such a sad ending to a protestor who sacrificed to protest peacefully against a long line of tankers with armed. The Tiananmen Square incident is one amongst the unforgettable political events in Chinese political history.
