Dear Brethren:

I pray that the grace and peace of God may rule in your hearts and lives
through our Lord Jesus Christ who is the KING of all creation. Our hearts

ere thanhful to Cod for,' all of you who are praying for and supporting our labors in f-outh Africa, Yesterday we were most pleasantly surprised to receive a letter from Dean Cachiaras with ?20. Cod bless you, Dean.
Ye are living in days when the old serpent is writhing aad lashing and slashing his tail, but the man of God does not fear, for to him they are

but evidences of his death throes under the heel of the King.
The current riots in the Bantu toi'.mships, and Nancy's confinement in hos pital for a hysterectomy have halted my Bible lessons over the last 2 weeks,

iiancy is home nov;, and feeling better though still v^eak.

to set up a similar progran here.

3rothv>r Mbengo

tells me that Uitenhage has set up a Vigilante Committee with members on

each street to control the riots, and he intends visiting Pert Elizabeth
He will contact ms when the situation

is 'Jndc-r control. In the meantime I will confine my Bible Lessons to the Coloured and Uitenhage tcvmships.
I did preach in the Pert Blizabeth toT-niship recently before the riots, and ga.vo a losson at the home of Brother Erasmus in Blimendal about 3 weeks ago, Ye have also made two trips to the Gamtoos, vfhere we reached out into a new area called funnyside. The brethren have already started work on their new^ building on a beautiful site overlooking the Gomtoos River mouth. I have preached two messages at a Congregational church in Ft, Albans and have been invited to preach there regularly froin the word of God. This
week-end I travelled to a funeral, service in ICleinfontein with Brother Frins. Lord willing I shall be at Golvandalo next L d' Day, and the following week at Grootvlei once again. also planning trins to the Transkei and
Beaufort west over the next 3 months.

A'crk is going ahead on Brother Love's new homo in the Port Elizabeth toxcnship, and it should be completed soon in spite of the curront riots. One problem has been that the builder oras not usin, enoufrh cement, but this
has now r-een attended to.

A serendipity benefit of our missionary trips has been the blessed opportu nity of simply talking in the car. The brethren bring no problems and
questions W'lich bother them and we have the chpjice to discuss theva at

length, T'.'.is has helped them in witnessing and in teaching & preaching, Thev also appreciate being able to pick up tie phone and talk to me, and
know that I m availa.ble to he In in any way I can.

Brethren v/e are fighting against spiritual wickedness. Let us stand firo uoon the Lord's promise that the gates of hell shall never prevail against His church, and let us look up, knowing that our redemption draws near.
Yours in the wonderful nsr^ie of Jesus Christ, the King of all Creation,

Dear Brethren in Christ:

November,

1976

Our hearts are filled with thanksgiving for your continued prayers and
support of our work. June - July? of 1980. Since we do not see the need or have the means to

take our furlough ncvr we pray that you will continue your support for another 3 years. We intend, Lord willing, to take our furlough about
In spite of petrol restrictions which has shortened the distance of our outreach trips quite a lot the Lorl has opened many doors within driving distance of P.H. October 17 took us east across the Sundays River valley ahd through the foothills of the Winterberg mountains to Sevenfountains Our theme was: THE CHURCH OF CHRIST. I preached on *T'/hat is the church?"

Brother DjakimianG "How do I enter the Church?" Brother Mguzulwa "How does the churcn grow?" and Brother Gqobc "The Destiny of the Church."
The following Lord's Day i-ze journeyed west beyond Greenbushes to Fisher's Comer where T brought a message on Stewardship. On Tuesday evening wo went beyond the Ford factory, through the village of Xleinskool and into the nev; Molato totmship of Blumendal where I brought a lesson on Rev.1:4-8 at the home of Brother Karel Erasmus. Wednesday evening saw me travelling down the Freeway to the Standford Road exit into the Gelvandale township and on to the Hillcrest school to bring a lesson to the Gelvandale brethren
on James 1:1-8,

On Nov. 7 we met briefly with the brethren at Kaba Forest and then along the coast to a new meeting place at the Gilfillan farm. Our messages were brought by Stephen Mkachana, William Djakumene and myself. We then took the gravel road to Alexandria where I brought a lesson on John 3. Other meetings v;ere held at the Bethesda church in St. Albans where I preached on "THE NARROW WAY" and at the home of Brother Temba Lewani in Veeplaas whose neighbors came to join us in a time of Bible study and prayer.
Last Lord's Day Brother Leve and I went to the Gamtoos River Mouth where we picked uo two other brethren and travelled on across the Kabeljou River

to Boplaas." I preached on THE PLAN OF SALVATION and THE NEW LIFE IN CHRIST,
Brother Jamos Giifanf baptized 4 into Christ. 2 elders and 5 deacons were
appointed from B'^plaas and the Tsitsikama Forest; and the meeting concluded with the Lord's Supper led by Brother Love,

Construction work is going ahead on Brother Leva's home as well as church buildings at the Gamtoos River Mouth and Boplaas, I have led studies on

the book of Revelation at Westway Bethel Baptist church.

Brother Mbengo

of Uitenhage was present at the indopendence of Transkei and has held services there as well as at Fort Beaufort. Many congregations throughout South Africa have joined in a preaching and teaching campaign in TRAI^SKBI as well as a distribution campaign of thousands of Scriptures there. Pray that God's Spirit will continue to move mightily in South Africa.
