Introduction: Consultix Walk-View software is a PC suite for Consultix WRX & MRX receivers family. It captures real-time power measurements and relates them to either the GPS co-ordinates for each measurement or map locations entered by the user. The software is connected to any Consultix WRX & MRX receiver, and supports any GPS receiver operates with the NMEA standard. Its recommended to install the software on a PC with operating system Windows 7 with 1.4 GHz processor and 4 GB RAM.

Installation 1234567Decompress the provided folder Consultix Walk-View to a relevant place. Right click on the setup icon, and choose run as administrator Follow the instructions Choose Yes for installing the Drivers Choose Yes for installing Google Earth plug-in Finalize the setup Go to Regional and Language setting to Control Panel and Set the language to American English

Operation
Getting Started

1- Connect the WRX or MRX receiver with a Mini USB-B cable (Provided with the software) 2- Click on the desktop shortcut Consultix Walk-View 3- Connect the GPS receiver -if needed-. 4- Enter the Setting menu, by clicking on the setting icon in the shortcuts tab as shown

5- Enter the General submenu, and adjust the following: a- COM Port : COM Port assigned to the receiver b- Capture Interval : The interval between each captured measurement in milliseconds and the minimum value entered should be 500 c- Show lines-Lines color: Activating lines between points, and changing the lines colors d- Points Size: The measured point highlight size e- Channel Number: The number of channels to be displayed 6- Enter the Export & Playback submenu, and adjust the playback setting as required (Playback is available only in the manual mode, which is designed for indoor measurements) 7- Enter the Ranges submenu, and adjust the legend colors and ranges. 8- Enter the GPS submenu, and adjust the following: a- COM Port: COM Port assigned to the GPS b- Speed: The GPS baud rate, use the GPS default manufacturer value Kindly note that Walk-View is compatible with GPS receivers operating with NMEA standard only.

Prepare your test

1- Enter the Session manager, by clicking its icon on the Tool Bar.

2- Add new Working Folder or use an existing one as desired.

3- Add new Sites or use an existing one as desired

4- When adding a new site, a pop window will appear. Adjust the following parameters:

a- Site Name: Name of the site b- Site Image: Site layout or map (to be used in the manual mode) c- Site Length: Length of the site in meters (Could be approximated if result export is not needed) d- Site width: Width of the site in meters (Could be approximated if result export is not needed) (Both measurements are used to scale the map or layout for exporting the session date files and post Processing) e- Freq.1, Freq. 2, Freq. 3, Freq. 4: Enter the desired frequency while write 0 for others. Those values are used for mapping the results not commanding the receiver

Start your measurements

Create test session

1- Add new Sessions or run an existing one as desired:

2- After selecting the session, you should choose your measurement mode as follows:

Choose test mode

a- Outdoor Mode: This mode is mainly used for outdoors tests. The co-ordinates of each captured measurement point are taken from the GPS receiver connected to the PC. The software draws those points online while running the test, on a Google earth plug-in inside the program. b- Indoor Mode: This mode is mainly used for indoor tests. Here user pinpoints his location during the walk-test. The co-ordinates of each captured measurement point are referred as X, Y on the site map or layout (provided by the user in the Site Settings). GPS co-ordinates are added also -if available- to the captured point for reference or aiding the user to find certain points. c- Autonomous Mode: This mode is mainly used for Autonomous indoor tests (with WRX-33-4B Receivers only) This mode is used for retrieving indoor measurements saved on the receiver memory, and mapping them on the site map. After retrieving the indoor measurements, user can complete his indoor measurements with same procedures he uses for Indoor Mode. The co-ordinates of each captured measurement point are referred as X, Y on the site map or layout (provided by the user in the Site Settings). GPS co-ordinates are added also -if available- to the captured point for reference or aiding the user to find certain points.

Manipulate your test path

Outdoor mode

Start New Path: For starting the path Stop: Stopping the test Pause: Pausing the test Resume: Resuming the test Playback option isnt available in Outdoor mode
Indoor mode

Start New Path: For starting the path Press on your location on the map or layout during movement to correlate your measurements to the map or layout co-ordinates. Stop: Stopping the test Pause: Pausing the test Resume: Resuming the test Playback: Playing back the test points *When you reach the final point , Click 2 times on its location on the map .
Autonomous mode (WRX-33-4B only)

Start New Path: For starting the path and retrieving save measurement points on the receiver. The software will start gathering the information from the receiver. A counter for the retrieving the data. You can continue indoor measurements when data retrieval is complete. Press on your location on the map or layout during movement, to correlate your measurements to the map or layout co-ordinates Stop: Stopping the test Pause: Pausing the test Resume: resuming the test Playback: playing back the test points Save your session by pressing Save Session Note: In indoor mode and autonomous mode, the automated captured points between any two locations taken by the users are distributed uniformly between the two points.

Mapping Autonomous points on Walk-view

Consultix WRX-33 4B receivers have internal memory for offline saving. This memory can save up to 7 hours continuous operation for the 4 channels working simultaneously. On using the receiver, user can define the Trip name, peak or average measurements aggregation techniques. User press save to path saving inside every trip. 1- After retrieving trip data saved on the receiver, autonomous table windows will pop-up

2- Click on the trip you want to manipulate on the map in autonomous table 3- Press on the map your 1st measurement path starting point. 4- Press on the map your 1st measurement path and consecutive ending points. 5- After manipulating all measurements paths in the selected trip, Acknowledgment window will pop-up You can manipulate more trips, run normal indoor mode tests, or save your session and export it.

Archiving & Export After finishing the test, Press the stop button, and Press Save session. After saving the session, Press Export session data in the main bar to export the test results to a .CSV file. You can save the test picture, and send it to another user with no access to the Walk-View software by pressing on the Take snapshot.

Playback Press Export playback to export the media clip file, send the exported file to any other user with no access to the software, Or You can view the Media clip within the Walk-View software
