1. Authority
The meeting will be held under the International Sporting Code of the FIA, the National Sporting Code of Sri Lanka Automobile Sport and the General Karting Regulations of the Ceylon Motor Sports Club, here after called CMSC & any further addendums and bulletins to the regulations. The Meeting is a Club meet with international participation by invitation.

6.Classes to Compete
Endurance: Minimum weight of the driver will be 75 kilograms. Ballasts maybe added to the kart to ensure that the minimum weight is maintained by each competitor. NO AVERAGE WEIGHT MAY BE USED by team entrant.

7.Entry
The fee for entry in this event shall be Rs.40,000/- for a Team entry The date and time for the close of entry shall be 5.00pm Tuesday the 6th May 2014; otherwise a late entry Penalty fee of Rs5,000/- will apply. The minimum grade of licence shall be a CMSC Club K, SLAS Competition Licence or an FIA International Licence. All international participants should carry an NOC from their parent ASN and lodge their International Licence along with the NOC with the Secretary of the Meeting. 8.Minimum Entries The minimum number of entries shall be nominated by the Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMCS) for each round. If insufficient entries are received the event may be cancelled at the discretion of the organiser.

9.Format of Racing The event will consist of one (1) race being for, a six hour (6hr) race on Saturday. The race will commence from a standing start. The starting grid will be determined by a single, half an hour (30 minute) qualifying session. This qualifying session will have an unrestricted lap count and you may swap and change drivers from your team as many times as you like within the session (weighing guidelines still apply every time your kart re-enters the pits from the track). Qualifying will be conducted after 9.00am on Saturday 10th May 2014. Teams will line up on the starting grid in qualifying order. The winner of the race will be the kart/team that has completed the most number of laps at the completion of the specified time period and receives the chequered flag first for the race. The CMSC Endurance Kart Series use the following point score: Teams will receive 20 championship points for entering each event.

DNF Points will be awarded to karts that finish at least 75% of the race, DNF points will be HALF the points of the lowest placed kart. Bonus points will be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each race. 1st 3 bonus points, 2nd 2 bonus points 3rd 1 bonus point. Position 1st 2

The series shall be scored on an outright basis for all teams competing in the Championship.

11. Prizes
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions

12. Insurance
Third Party Insurance has been affected for this meeting. All competitors are requested to obtain their personal insurance for this meet.

13. Mechanical Breakdown Lane


A mechanical breakdown lane will be in use.

14. Abandonment or Postponement Postponement


The organisers reserve the right at their sole discretion to abandon, postpone or cancel the event.

15. Conduct
The removal of both hands from the steering wheel or both feet from the pedals will result in the driver being penalised.

16. Photographic Photographic Material


Photographic material taken for purpose of promotion of the sport at this event becomes the property of CMSC/SLKC and is usable for promotion and advertising programs.

17. Safety Vests/Clothing


A minimum dress standard of a CMSC Orange Vest must be worn by all Race Officials listed on the Supplementary Regulations/addendums/ bulletins, who need to enter the race circuit, except for flag marshals who shall wear an CMSC official T Shirt or a Hi Visibility Jacket. Anyone else entering the the race circuit must wear a non High visibility vest or shirt.

18. 18. Starting


Please be advised that a 10 second penalty for starting infringement will apply. Karts are to approach the starting area at walking pace and in formation in a 2 x 2 format. Pole sitter will be on the right side lane.

19. 19. Fuel


Fuel Will be Supplied by the organisers. Karts will be refuelled with fuel immediately prior to Timed Qualifying.

20. Minimum Number Of Drivers


The minimum number of drivers for the event is 2 and Maximum will be 4 . Cross entering of drivers between teams is not permitted.

21. Pit Stops and Compulsory Driver Changes


The minimum number of compulsory pit stops for: Six hour (6hr) race will be - (including the stop at the end of the race). During the race, no driver is permitted to drive for more than 60 minutes without a driver change. A driving stint does not include refuelling, driver changes or mechanical repairs. A minimum break of at least 20 minutes should be taken in between driving stints. Please note:

The location of the track/pit timing loops vary from track to track and it is the team/drivers responsibility to know the location of these loops and how this effects the measurement of the 1 hr max, driver stint. Time keepers decision is final. There will be a computer lap penalty of 5 laps for each breach of this rule.

22. Pit Area


Driver Change Area No Mechanical repairs or tools are permitted in the driver change area. The only work permitted on a kart in this area is chain lubing, ballasting or tyre pressure adjustment using a hand pump or air bottle and tyre pressure gauge. Only tools required for lead/ballast changes are permitted in this area and all items must be removed to a safe location immediately after use. Any breach of this rule may incur a penalty of up to 5 laps for a first offence. During the event (including, qualifying and race) only the driver getting out of the kart, the driver getting into the kart and one pit crew are permitted in the pit area. Once a pit stop has been completed they are to leave the pit area immediately. Speed limit in the pit area is restricted to a walking pace observed by the pit lane official. Penalty for exceeding this speed limit will be determined by the officials, and can include a stop-go penalty for the first offence, 5 lap computer timing penalty for a second offence and a 10 lap penalty for a third offence.

24. PostPost-qualifying parcparc-ferme


Prior to qualifying, karts are to go to refuelling bay with empty fuel tanks. After receiving fuel, karts are to remain in parc-ferme and karts may not be taken back to the pit. Competitors/pit Crew may work on their karts while in Qualifying Parc Ferme in an area directed by an official. Karts are not to leave Parc-Ferme until released by an official.

25. Number of tyres


For qualifying and the race/s for this meet, only one (1) set of prescribed MRF dry weather tyres Damaged or worn out tyres (by the way of force majeure) must be reported to and be inspected by a Scrutineer or official prior to the kart leaving the grid/impound area.

25 Award Ceremony
The Award Ceremony will be held at the Circuit after the conclusion of the meet on the 10th of May 2014.

26 Protests
No Protests will be entertained by the organisers.

27 Endurance General General Rules


It is the teams responsibility to make sure that team members and drivers follow these rules and any rules that the officials designate during the event.
Pit Stops - Their strategic timing will be the responsibility of each team. It is up to each team to develop a way of signalling drivers on the track (i.e: waving arms, using a pit board, fog horn, etc.) Karts must come to a complete stop to change drivers and engines must be switched off before demounting the kart. Once the driver change takes place, drivers will proceed at walking pace until past a specified point on pit lane. No external force is allowed to assist the karts acceleration from pit lane. Drivers are expected to ensure the track is clear and remain out of the racing line once back on track prior to attaining racing speed. Refuelling - Engine must be shut off and the driver must exit the kart before refuelling starts. If the engine is running and/or the driver enters or exits the kart during refuelling the team will be accessed a 30 second hold penalty on that stop or the next stop if the driver takes off before an official stops the kart. If it is the karts last stop of the event then the team will be penalized 1 lap from their overall lap count after the event has been completed. The strategic timing of fuel stops will be the responsibility and at the discretion of each team. A funnel may be used on refuelling stops. One pit crew member must have fire extinguisher in had during fuel stops. Required Safety Gear - To increase the margin of safety on the track, drivers are required to wear a full-face helmet; padded racing neck collar or approved neck restraint is recommended; fullcoverage, abrasion resistant clothing (minimally denim jeans and unpadded jean jackets, fire resistant, multi-layered racing suits okay, Karting specific clothing preferred); leather or padded palm gloves; closed-toed shoes. Event/Kart Safety - All teams must have a fire extinguisher in their pits during the race. In the event of a mechanical breakdown drivers should always try to pull off the track if possible.

Pit Lane Rules - Onboard radios are allowed for the kart or drivers. Each team is required to have on hand, minimum of one 3kg fire extinguisher in the pits. Qualifying Qualifying will be thirty minute hot pit, best lap competition. You must start the race on the tires you qualify on. Tires will be marked. Kart / Team Weight - A minimum driver and Kart weight is 185kgs is required. Minimum three drivers per team. All drivers on a team must make pre race weigh in at registration desk during registration. No removable weight or ballast is allowed on the driver during the event . Number of Drivers & Laps - All teams must run all three drivers in the race. Each driver included in pre race weigh-on must make a minimum of 90 minutes track time.
