MERLAUD developed different lines of amplifiers to meet the various needs in PA business and cover a wide range of large and smaller projects . AMI & AMS series, thanks to their built-in microprocessor, fit the ever-growing needs of integrated systems based on PC management. The AMG series include a variety of elementary products. They address the need for expandable end-user friendly systems. The AMA series is the ideal solution for rather simple systems. Heavy-duty and Reliable design is the base line of these various amplifiers. They are fully Equipped with efficient electronic and thermal protections to avoid problems due to short circuits, overload and excessive temperature buildup due to inappropriate ventilation or overloading. Amplifiers automatically recover operation once conditions are back to normal. Ventilation and load matching is essential for a healthy system. Some amplifiers have built-in transformer balanced Inputs while others can be optionally fitted with these efficient noise reduction tools. All output and power supply transformers are vacuum impregnated.

The casing is black enamel over treated steel that fits the 19" standard. MERLAUD amplifiers technology successfully passed in approved laboratory environmental tests (humidity, heat, cold, vibration) and the EMC tests. Measurements are according to the CEI-268-3. MODULAR AMPLIFIERS - AMI series

Innovative, functional, versatile and unique - that is the MERLAUD AMI series of amplifiers. They scale to fit the ever-growing needs of integrated systems based on data exchange. Through the use of interchangeable plug-in modules, the mixer amplifiers AMI608EC and AMI120EC and the PMI8EC mixer become a self-contained PA system that delivers exceptional voice product qualities, with convenient easy to use features. The modules are available with different types of connectors for easy matching. Many functions are available from the low level input module equipped with a extremely low noise input transformer to the 60 secs plug - in sound processing module. All these modules can be programmed for a sequential priority operation. A front panel control device with touch buttons and a display is used to adjust, thanks to the built-in microprocessor, the different levels such as Volume, Bass and Treble. Additionally the display shows information concerning amplifier faults and line faults (open circuit - short circuit). These controls and information are also made available, through the built-in serial link, to external devices for centralized monitoring. Thanks to these features, the MERLAUD AMI series is ideal for smart buildings where Tailor-made solutions are required, with flexibility and reliability a baseline.

POWER AMPLIFIERS - AMI series

The AMI line of products includes power amplfiers of 80W (2U - 19), 160W (3U - 19) and 500W (2U - 19). The Inputs are low noise transformer balanced A front panel control device with touch buttons and a display is used to adjust, thanks to the built-in microprocessor, the different levels such as Volume, Bass and Treble. The display shows information concerning amplifier faults and line faults (open circuit - short circuit - earth leakage). These controls and information are also made available, through the built-in serial link, to external devices for centralized monitoring. The amplifier address for network identification is set using a combination of the touch buttons. Additionally a set of Leds are used to display the audio signal level, audio signal clipping and overheating. A specific button allows to enter the amplifer in standby mode. In specific situations were level controls have to be protected from tampering, a lock-out feature is possible utilizing the front panel buttons to input the secret code.

POWER AMPLIFIERS - AMB series

The AMB line of products includes power amplifiers of 80W (2U - 19), 150W (3U - 19) and 320W (3U - 19). The Inputs are low noise transformer balanced. The built-in microprocessor handles the surveillance feature that covers the : Audio Signal Input, the Amplifier performance and the speaker line faults (open circuit - short circuit - earth leakage). These information are made available, through the built-in serial link, to external devices for centralising. The amplifier address for network identification is set using a set of jumpers. A set of Leds are used to display the audio signal level, audio signal clipping and overheating, the earth leakage and the fault status. Since the AMB series is dedicated for security security systems, amplifier controls are not available on the front panel to protect from external tampering.

APPLICATIONS...
AMB is mainly designed for systems that concerns the specific European Standard EN 60849.

The AMG series represents the latest amplifier line of mixer amplifiers, power amplifiers designed by MERLAUD for multi-purpose PA SYSTEMS. This line of products include mixer amplifiers, available in 50W and 100W (2U-19) and 200W (3U-19) and power amplifiers, available in 50W and 100W (2U-19) and 200W (3U-19) in addition to a simple mixer amplifier with 2 Inputs The AMA 2EC, available in 50W and 100W (2U-19). The AMG series include products available in standard 19 or 19 cabinets. They address the need for expandable and user friendly systems. A coupling DIN socket, integrating several features into one socket , is the answer for easy-to-install feature. Thus, building small and user friendly PA systems with convenient features is achievable.

MIXER AMPLIFIERS - AMG series

The mixer amplifiers, available in 50W and 100W (2U-19) and 200W (3U-19), have 5 Mixable inputs. The first 4 inputs are jumper Selectable Balanced Mic or Aux levels. Different jumpers settings allows the delivering of a 24V DC supply for the connected paging desks or the delivering of Phantom power supply for Microphones. Input 1 includes a priority feature to override all other Inputs. For additional Priority configurations a CPG board is needed. The CTG kit allows the reporting of the individual control points to an external device for smart complex priority management. The fifth input is a fixed AUX level usually dedicated for Music with a recorder Output. The Inputs activity is jumper selectable to be permanent or by remote contact closure. Each unit is equipped with a coupling socket to deliver 24V DC supply, audio signal and remote control signal. Front panels controls allows separate volume controls for each input, and overall Bass and treble controls. A set of 5 Front panel Leds indicate the activity of the individual Inputs. An additional Led signals normal operation and overheating cut-off. With all its features and its flexibility the AMG5EC line is more than a simple mixer amplifier. It represents the master piece of a complete PA system when coupled to the different complementary products and functional accessories. The Preamplifier MPP, installed near remote microphones with long distances, the Preamplifier MVG with built-in Voice activated mute function and the matching transformer assembly MTL are Useful and Efficient tools for noisy environment. They help reduce hum due to long distances. They contribute in building crystal clear sound systems.

The switching unit has a capcity of 8 relays for 8 zone selection of 75W/100V each. Rear panel terminals shall be used to connect the BGM amplfier and the Paging amplfier 100V loudspeaker lines. A DB9 socket is dedicated for the remote controls such as controls from the paging microphone (DA8). The DC supply is deliverd by the ampifiers using the appropriate links included with the units.
