John Moyer is the bassist and back up vocalist for the alternative metal band Disturbed. Moyers bass playing can be heard on Disturbeds third studio album Ten Thousand Fists, their fourth album Indestructible and Disturbeds fifth studio album Asylum. Asylum is the acts fourth consecutive studio set to debut at No. 1, a feat achieved by only two other rock bands in the history of the chart: Metallica and Dave Matthews Band. The band was nominated for a Grammy Award for Inside The Fire, from their 2008 album Indestructible.
