Component repair on LCT3701AD This is a possible fix for the LCT3701AD with the following symptom No video, OSD, or logo at startup but the backlight will come on and you may get audio. It does not eliminate the Main PCB as the suspect but it may save you from ordering the Main PCB. There is a fuse that may be blown on the Driver PCB (not available to us from the factory) for the panel. Replacing the fuse location FU101 (1 amp fuse) with a slow-blowing fuse. Try checking and replacing this fuse before ordering the Main PCB (part #771EL37AD02-02). If the fuse is not blown, then order the Main PCB from FOX International (888-498-7278). Procedure Instructions Remove back panel from the unit following instruction in the service manual. Just above the housing for the main PCB is the Driver PCB. Remove the 4 Phillips screws for the cover from the interface PCB and remove the cover.

Remove these screws to remove the cover for Driver PCB.

Once the cover is removed you can test the fuse.

ESI Service Update

11/03/2006 The fuse is located on the lower left side on the Driver PCB.

Here is the fuse to be checked.

If the fuse is blown, replace with a 1.25A CP (circuit protector) fuse - time lag sub miniature fuse is recommended. This should give you an image. If it doesnt fix the issue or it is not blown, then order the Main PCB. If you have any further questions or require any other assistance doing this repair, please contact us at Service Tech Support via phone (800-476-3512) or via email (techsupport@esintl.com).
