Engineering as a Profession
Engineering is the application of scientic, economic , social, and practical knowledge in order to design, build, and maintain structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes. The discipline of engineering is extremely broad, and surrounded a range of more specialized elds of engineering, each with a more specic emphasis on particular areas of technology and types of application. So one can dened engineering as it is the creative application of scientic principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full knowledge of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specic operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operation or safety to life and property. One who practices engineering is called an engineer. Why choose Engineering ? Engineering literally means to make things happen. It is all about the design and production of useful products and services. As a Engineer a person know-how converts scientic knowledge into technology and then technology into successful innovation. Many seemingly simple aspects of our daily lives have been conceptualised, designed and developed by an engineer.
Engineering as a Profession
Engineers work everywhere Engineers have to work everwhere: cities, regional and rural area even remote areas. Some engineers work business ofces, classrooms, others in factories or research labs; some work outdoors or even in outer space Engineers work on interesting projects Engineers usually work in project teams made up of people with expertise in different areas such as accounting, law, project management, surveying, drafting to name a few. Engineers can earn good money The growing skill shortages across many elds of engineering are generating higher graduate salaries and other benets for engineering graduates. Engineers have a great lifestyle Because engineers have good incomes and have a good work/life balance, engineers get to enjoy their many different hobbies and interests. An engineering career is very well paid which means engineers have the nancial security that allows you to really enjoy life.
Engineering as a Profession
Apart from these four core branches, sources vary on other main branches, naval engineering and mining engineering were major branches. Modern elds sometimes included as majorbranches includes, aerospace, computer, electronic, petroleum, systems, audio, software, architectural, biosystems, biomedical, geological, industrial, materials and nuclear engineering.
Role of an Engineer
Engineers use their knowledge of science, mathematics, logic, economics, and appropriate experience or tacit knowledge to nd suitable solutions to a problem. Creating an appropriate model of a problem allows them to analyze it (sometimes denitively), and to test potential solutions. Usually multiple reasonable solutions exist, so engineers must evaluate the different design choices on their merits and choose the solution that best meets their requirements. Engineers typically attempt to predict how well their designs will perform to their specications prior to full -scale production. They use, among other things: prototypes, scale models, simulations, destructive tests, non destructive tests, and stress tests. Testing ensures that products will perform as expected. Engineers take on the responsibility of producing designs that will perform as well as expected and will not cause unintended harm to the public at large. Engineers typically include a factor of safety in their designs to reduce the risk of unexpected failure. However, the greater the safety factor, the less efcient the design may be.

The ranking for admission to undergraduate programmes in IITs would be based entirely on the performance in the JEE Advanced examination from amongst the candidates screened through this process. The nature and modalities of the JEE Advanced shall be determined by the Joint Admission Board of IITs. The Joint Admission Board (JAB) of the IIT system would have complete control on matters such as paper setting, evaluation and preparation of the merit list, etc. over the JEE Advanced and CBSE would provide the administrative support for conduct of the examination. Students should be ranked among the top 20 percentile of their respective Class XII board to considered eligible for the IITs. Admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) will be based on scores from JEE Main. For all other Centrally Funded Institutions NITs and IIITs there would be 40% weightage for performance in Class XII Board marks normalized on percentile basis through an appropriate formula and 60% weightage for performance in JEE-Main a combined merit decided accordingly.
The NITs will take students directly based on JEE Main. For this NITs give 40% weightage to Board marks and Remaining 60% weightage will be given to JEE Main. Several deemed universities can also use the scores of JEE Main exam to admit students after they x a minimum percentage criteria. The new test is an amalgamation of the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) and the IIT-JEE, where the JEE Main exam will be equivalent to AIEEE, and JEE Advanced will be equivalent to the IIT-JEE.

I have to come down from my hometown to Delhi to get the coaching from best faculty. My coaching fees are costly in Metro. It is difcult and uncertain to get admission in the class as the seats are limited. I often have to shuttle between Coaching centers, frequently located at far-off locations as different subjects are not available in the same institute. Coaching schedules also clash, and it is difcult to keep pace. I often get late to the class and have to settle for a seat in the last row. Due to this I am not able to understand the class properly. If I am absent in any of the classes, it becomes difcult to understand the next class as it breaks the continuity.
Due to large number of students, I am not able to I have to just pick up the cordless Mic or use chat interact or ask any query to the faculty. system to ask query during the class. Being a big class, I often get disturbed due to noise in the class. Also the view and audio quality is not very clear. Text books are either not available or at an extra cost. The quality is also poor. I spend approx 10000/- per month at the Hostel in Delhi. The food quality is poor and rooms are cramped. The environment is also not good As the classroom is small with good audio quality, I can comfortably listen to the faculty teaching. Course material books are included in the fee, which is quite affordable. I have the exibility of home food, home environment. I am able to study and prepare better, which increases my chances of succeeding at exams. I am happy to be at Home, safe and secure. I save over Rs. 1,00,000 per year with Kshitij Education India. Money saved is money earned. I feel my parent's hard-earned money is well-spent with Kshitij Satellite Classes.
