Secretary Leonid Brezhnev. Iosif Andriasov declined the position. Then, another senior official, the Editor-in-Chief of the Music Department at the USSR All-State Radio and Television, asked Mr. Andriasov if he would agree to accept the Lenin Prize from the USSR Government. Iosif Andriasov rejects this offer as well, stating: "By accepting a reward from criminals, one becomes an accomplice to the criminals".

Arshak Andriasov! Composer Ten years ago I was in a recording studio on a film project, and I heard Victor Romasevich during a break in the session playing a beautiful melody on viola. When I asked him about it, he told me it was "Concertino" by Iosif Andriasov and was originally written for clarinet. I'm a clarinetist, so I ordered the music right away, started to practice it and discovered in it an exhilarating, original personality. Since then I've had the pleasure to perform the work in public six times, once even with Arshak Andriasov in Rochester at an all-Andriasov concert. I look forward to playing it again in the near future. It's a compact work, only about seven minutes long, but there's a range of expressive qualities in it, and every time I approach it, it seems fresh and new. The music also has real audience appeal, and even if they are unaware of an implicit inner narrative, it always receives a strong response in performance. What a wonderful addition to our solo literature it is! Larry London, Clarinettist & Composer" www.sfcv.org/music-teachers/larry-london

Oleg & Jane Dron! An incredible facility and a place to truly get better. My back was killing me and I felt better after a couple of sessions. Super important for musicians and other hard working individuals who really want to get better. Thank You Oleg and Jane Dron. - Arshak Andriasov Upcoming Performances April 27th, 4PM California Time - Petaluma SRJC campus is Carole L. Ellis Auditorium, performers Victor Romasevich and Marilyn Thompson amongst others performing " Iosif Andriasov's music. 35 years ago 1979 - Before leaving the USSR, Iosif Andriasov had to submit all of his musical diaries and sketchbooks to the Soviet Composers Union authorities to receive their permission for taking his music with him. Some pages from his diaries were extracted and replaced with blank paper. Iosif Andriasov was not allowed to take the original documents and his philosophical works with him. Mr. Andriasov made negatives of his book "To My Friends" and hid it in a secret place in his luggage. He told about this only to his wife, Marta Andriasova (Marina Kudryashova). Because of these precautions, Mr. Andriasov was able to bring these materials to the West. A U.S. State Department officer at the US Embassy in Moscow takes Iosif Andriasovs Conservatory Diploma signed by Dmitry Shostakovich, the Special Charter with Recognition and Blessing signed by Vazgen the First, together with other unique documents belonging to him and his family, to be transported to the U.S, but the documents were never returned. www.andriasovstore.com
