Monday, December 2, 2013 Hannah MacDonald Duty today: 8:00-8:15, 10:05-10:25, 12:00-12:20 8:15 Bell rings - Meet students

at the front door and walk them quietly to the classroom. - Students will write daily Creeker Essential in their agendas and place them on the desk by the door. I will give them their Sommaire de la semaine while they write their creeker essential so they can glue it in their agenda. (This is their list of weekly homework; go over it with them. They are on my desk) I will look to make sure they have correctly written it down, checking for proper use of capitals and periods. I will also check whether they have written a sentence using their mots dorthographes. 8:20 O Canada and morning announcements - Send navy blue attendance-safe arrival sheet to the office (mini-prof can take it, they know who it is) 8:30 Literacy: because it is the first of the week we have a few classroom routines that we will be doing before our literacy lesson starts. Hand out the Math duo tangs (green plastic, on my desk) and the Devoir de maths sheet. They will complete this sheet for Friday. Les cailloux: Students will count their pebbles and also have a friend at their table count them. Ask them one at a time how many they have (keep track) and have them put them in the jar (on the desk by the door). For each 5 pebbles they have they will receive 1 billet blanc that I have stamped. They will write their name on it and place it in the Tide container (at the end of the month 3 names are chosen to receive a prize). Les tches de la semaine: When theyve exchanged their pebbles they may choose their weekly jobs (laminated white paper on the green board, they know what to do). The mini-prof is always pre-chosen. Sound of the week: Raconte-moi les sons, read to them the short story for the sound ch and explain the action that goes with it (explained on pg. 12-16). Read the story that focuses on the sound ch. Then have students orally say where we hear the sound ch, and write them on chart paper, circling the sound in each word. Les sons: Read together the sheet on the sound ch in the Les sons (yellow) duo tang. Make sure they follow with their finger.
