Hi, I am Sahas Chitlange , aging ! , "rom India # Here$s my new innovation on "ridge "rom clay# Its very easy and cheap to b%ild and very cheap# In india the cost is abo%t &s# '(( only# )he pro*ect$s principle is based on evaporation# yo% can ta+e this system "or camping where yo% need a "ridge to +eep yo%r co+es cool# )he materials re,%ired "or ma+ing this easy "ridge are. Clay pots /. some sand '. water For the "irst time to get the cooling e""ect yo% need to wait "or (0 / hrs# )he thing yo% need to remember is adding water a"ter a day#
1o% need to chose correct si2e pots so that they go into each other easily# 3re"er new ones beca%se old ones have their pores bloc+ed# )his a""ects cooling#
4dd some sand in the base o" the larger pot# 1o% may close the pot holes# I did not# 1o% may also heat the sand strongly to +ill the germs as in India yo% get the sand on roadsides!
5ow insert the smaller pot in the larger one# )a+e care yo% may get yo%r hands *ammed d%ring this process# I got once, Very pain"%ll### 4lso see that yo% have some gap le"t on the sides , yo% need to add sand there later#
Care"%lly add sand on the sides o" the pot# 4void spilling it into the smaller pot , its very di""ic%lt to get that st%"" o%t once spilled in ! 4lso add some water a"ter yo% add sand#
Step )! Co*er it
1o% can ma+e a cover o%t o" old pots as i did or simply cover it with a damp cloth#
