Description PEFCseekstoensureandfurtherimprovethequalityofonthegroundauditsfor chainofcustodycertification.AspartofitsoverallsystemintegrityprogramPEFC requiresthatbyJuly2014allchainofcustodyauditorsparticipateinabiannual trainingeitherorganizedorrecognizedbyPEFC. PEFCappreciatestheeffortputinbythecertificationbodies(CBs)infurther developingthecompetenciesoftheirauditorsandsupportstheeffectiveand efficientinternaltrainingactivitiesoftheCBs.Therefore,PEFCoffersaTraining RecognitionProgram(TRP)whichallowstheCBstogetaformalrecognitionof theirinternalPEFCchainofcustodytrainingprogramandtocarryoutinternal trainingsincompliancewithPEFCsformalrequirements. ThePEFCrecognitionofCBinternaltrainingsisvalidfortwoyears.Inthisperiodthe TRPcomprisesthreeelements:Atwodaysinpersontrainingforrepresentativesof CBsandthetrainingprogramassessmentatthebeginningoftheperiodandshort (max.24hours)web/phoneconferencesafter6,12and18months. Theinpersontrainingwillbeconductedinagroupwithmax.15participants.The samegroupalsoparticipatesintheweb/phoneconferences. Toprovideanefficientmodeoftrainingauditors TosupportqualityofPEFCchainofcustodyauditsonabroadlevel ToenableCBsoperatingwithseveralauditorstocomeincompliancewithPEFCs requirementsforCBsoperatingchainofcustodyaudits(PEFCST2003:2012,clause 5.2.2) ToproviderecentclarificationsandinterpretationsofPEFCsChainofCustody Standard TofocusonimportrequirementsofPEFCsChainofCustodyStandard(e.g.DDS) CertificationbodiesconductingPEFCChainofCustodyauditsandsubjectto mandatoryPEFCAuditorTraining(seePEFCST2003:2012)byaninternaltraining program.
