TENERGY - FEEL THE POWER OF SPRING SPONGE

Since its launch in 2008, Butterflys TENERGY has dominated the table tennis rubber market in impressive style. With the development of HIGH TENSION and SPRING SPONGE, but above all the combination of both technologies, the Butterfly Research Centre has succeeded in achieving what is probably the greatest innovation in recent years. TENERGY has a great deal more to offer than just speed and power.

The majority of the worlds top players place their trust in TENERGY; among others, World and Olympic Champion Zhang Jike as well as record European Champion Timo Boll.

TENERGY PIMPLE STRUCTURE

Before the first version of TENERGY was launched onto the market in 2008, Butterflys Research Centre carried out extensive tests with a large number of top players; several rubber samples, each with a different pimple structure, were tested extensively for their strengths and weaknesses. Following analysis of the test results, decisions were made as to which type of TENERGY would be most suitable for specific playing strategies. The individual name of each TENERGY rubber represents the description given to the respective product samples used during testing.

TENERGY unleashes its full potential during service and return as well as in the generation of variable spin, demonstrating its impressive spin capabilities. Owing to its outstanding quality, this Japanese rubber, which has been developed by Butterfly, is extremely durable; where other similar brands start to lose their spin capability, their associated dynamics and therefore their effectiveness, TENERGY continues to demonstrate its outstanding qualities by maintaining its effectiveness for considerably longer time. Last but not least TENERGY enables long ball trajectory from mid-distance or during counter topspin duals which gives it its unique characteristics.

HIGH TENSION
High Tension by Butterfly is the secret which has guided many World Class players to success. Because of the built in tension in the sponge and surface (or the combination of both), High Tension provides the best features of modern table tennis. It provides exceptional feeling for the ball, as well as spin variation and exciting dynamics.

With a width of 2.65 mm the pimples are much greater in diameter than those adopted in TENERGY 05 and TENERGY 64. The distance between the pimples is reduced considerably as a result. The special pimple structure of TENERGY 25 was selected as being the best for controlled and fast attacking play close to the table.

The pimple structure of test sample No. 05 is particularly suitable for generating a high level of spin. This was selected from more than 100 pimple structure samples; the width is exactly 1.7 mm, with the main focus being on extreme topspin and high performance.

The pimple structure of test sample No.180 provides the basis for the TENERGY 80. The width of the pimples is identical to that of TENERGY 05 and TENERGY 64. Through individual modification of the height of and distance between the pimples, an effective variation in the balance between speed and spin can be achieved, giving each individual TENERGY product its unique characteristics.

The pimple diameter is the same as that of TENERGY 05, however the pimples are higher and there is greater distance between them. TENERGY 64 gives the sense of being able to hold the ball on the racket for longer.

Borussia Dsseldorf the best team in Europe Borussia Dsseldorfs unique success story began more than five decades ago. It was in the season of 1960/61 Dsseldorf first became Champion and started a climb which lead the team into the German national league in 1967 where they still remain as the only club in Germany to play in the first league without ever having to visit another. Now 25 times national Champion, 22 German club competition titles and 14 victorious Champions league seasons, Borussia Dsseldorf is not only the most successful German club of all times, but with a combined 61 titles, retains this prestigious label in European club history as well. Dsseldorf made the history books by winning the triple (national champion, club champion and Champions league winner) both in 2010 and in 2011. A professional management played a big part in all these accomplishments. Borussia Dsseldorf is the first German club to ever employ a manager, a head coach and a professional public relations department. This early development enabled the club to sign accomplished world-class players as well as young talented players who turned in to world-class playing for Dsseldorf. Meanwhile the club managed to always uphold its philosophy of presenting a team of young German players and develop them to an international level. Players like Eberhard Schler, Hans Wilhelm Gb, Ralf Wosik, Jrg Rosskopf, Steffen Fetzner, Jochen Lei, Desmond Douglas, Jrgern Persson, Vladimir Samsonov, Michael Maze, Christian Sss, Timo Boll, Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Patrick Baum are just examples of that practice. Star of todays team and fan favorite for sure is Timo Boll, signing for the club in 2007. Together with his team mate Christian Sss, Boll became Olympic silver medalist 2008 in Beijing and won bronze in 2012 both in the teams competition. The world ranked No. 8 player (as of January 2014) has steadily been one of the best players in the world for more than a decade and was ranked on top of that ranking in both 2003 and 2011. The 16 times European Champion managed to win 14 club titles with Borussia Dsseldorf and just recently extended his contract with the prestigious club to at least 2016. Beside him in the teams line-up are promising German players such as Christian Sss, Patrick Baum and Ricardo Walther as well as the accomplished Indian Champion Sharanth Kamal Achanta. Borussia Dsseldorf and Tamasu Butterfly Europe are partners since 2004. It is a perfect symbiosis between the best team in Europe and the worlds leading table tennis supplier. Both are ambitious and successful without ever neglecting the human component. It is only logical that this successful partnership will continue onwards to at least 2019.
