Mahila Sishu This is developed by NIC to be used in Andhra Pradesh as of now. It is integrated software for Dept.

of WCD, NRHM, SERP and Rajiv Vidya Mission. It aims to hold a common database on beneficiaries for all four departments. This is currently being piloted in one mandal Manchal in Andhra Pradesh by means of tablets. Eight ANMS have been trained by NIC for this pilot. Focal point for its implementation is ASHA and ANM. AWWs and supervisors will be contributing to the database by system of sms and sending pictures. This GPRS based method will take data to the online database. This is designed to pool data from sources like- Self Help Groups data, MCP card data, Ration Card Data, Adhaar Card data, Voter Id database. NIC also plans to link it to the Mother and Child Tracking System. Once it becomes functional NIC is planning to launch it as an open dashboard. NIC is in talks with the key officials at state level to scale this up to district level and later to entire state. Components covered under Mahila Sishu are ANC, PNC, Immunization, indicators under scheme Bangaru Talli and various health department related information, Daily THR distribution at AWCs, IAH related information, Pre-School Education, Adolescent Girls Scheme. MCTS Mother and Child Tracking System (MCTS), was launched in January 2011 by the Health and Family Welfare Department. The concept of MCTS is to strengthen and scale nationwide Mother & Child
Tracking System (MCTS), a web enabled name based tracking system which aims to track pregnant women and children for ANC and assured delivery of immunization services based on the real time reporting on immunization coverage. The MCTS system is expected to make the immunization services more Citizen Centric by reaching out to families of the beneficiaries through mobile phone and interactive voice response system (IVRS). The system is also expected to facilitate the functioning of the frontline health workers (FHWs) and health managers at district, state and national level to plan, implement and monitor services more efficiently and effectively by generating work-plans and decision support dashboards based on the real time reporting on immunization coverage.

Objective: 1. To track pregnant women all over their pregnancy period and delivering medical services to them as per the WHO guidelines. 2. To track children until they get full immunization. The MCTS is planned to compare data of all pregnant women and infants so as to ascertain deliverance of maternal and child health services from conception till 42 days after delivery in the case of pregnant women and up to 5 years of age in the case of children so as to ascertain that all pregnant women and all new born get full maternal and immunization services. Primary objective of MCTS is to decrease MMR and IMR. Registration of pregnant women and issue of a card is done by the jurisdictional Auxillary Nurse Midwives (ANMs). Particulars about pregnant women / child are captured in a card and then stored in a computer. The particulars of mother/child (only one

time entry) accumulated are transferred from the computer to the sub-centres and primary health centres by the computer operator or the block program manager at the Block office. ANMs monitor services imparted to pregnant women and children every month and communicate the data centre about the same by sending an SMS. When the database gets updated, the medical officer or the Block health officer gets an alert and thereafter they monitor the services furnished to the pregnant woman or the child in their area. The Medical Officer or the Block Health Officer then issues directions to the ANMs if any service is escaped. MCTS is GoI program run in mission mode, and is rolled out across India. State Health departments, NRHM are working towards strengthening it. Data entry process can be viewable from user manual at
