ATP Details

The ATP Details window has two regions:

Summary region Pegging region

Summary Region
The summary region is a folder form. Note: Not all fields are shown by default. The following table describes each field in this window: Field Item Quantity rg #equest Date Qty Shi! Date Qty Description Shows the requested item. Shows the requested quantity. Shows the shi!!ing organi"ation. Shows the quantity a$ailable on the request date. Shows the quantity a$ailable on the date that the request quantity can be met. The quantity can e%ceed the requested quantity. Shows the arri$al date. Arri$al date equals shi! date !lus transit lead time. Shows the request date.

Arri$al Date #equest Date

#equest Date Ty!e Shows either Shi! Date or Arri$al Date& based on the selection. ' ( )rou! Shi! Date Shows the !rimary unit of measure of the requested item. Shows the grou! shi! date for a set& if the request is for a set.

)rou! Arri$al Date Shows the grou! arri$al date for a set& if the request is for a set. Shi! (ethod Shows the shi! method that is !assed from any calling a!!lication or default shi! method defined for the shi!!ing organi"ation and recei$er.

Transit *ead Time Shows the lead time associated with the abo$e shi! method. Shows the demand class associated with the request. Shows any error or warning message. Shows the customer on the request. Show the shi!,to site of the customer. Shows the date beyond the request date that the ATP request should be considered successful& if the requested quantity can be met. Shows the set identifier !assed by any calling a!!lication for grou!ing items in an arri$al set. Shows the set identifier !assed by any calling a!!lication for grou!ing items in an shi! set. Shows the order line number !assed by any calling a!!lication for indication of demand line number. Shows the AS+P !lan name used for racle )lobal Promising& if ATP is based on !lanning out!ut. Shows the requested item. The item field shows the substituted item. Shows the a$ailability of the requested item on the request date. The #equest Date Qty field shows the a$ailability of the substituted item on the request date. Shows the earliest date the requested quantity for the requested item is a$ailable. Shows the quantity a$ailable on the riginal Item ATP Date. The a$ailable quantity may e%ceed the requested quantity. Not used. Shows the days between the request date and date the su!!ly is a$ailable for the item. This field is only a!!licable for an AT model request. -hen racle )lobal rder Promising finds a matched configuration& the configuration item is dis!layed in this field. rder

Pegging Region

ATP Pegging region further e%!lains how racle )lobal rder Promising obtains the ATP results. Pegging is shown for each line in ATP Details: Summary #egion.

For ATP Based on Collected Data

racle )lobal rder Promising first chec.s the a$ailability on the request date. If there is a shortage& then racle )lobal rder Promising finds a date beyond request date when the shortage can be met. The !egging de!icts this logic. /or e%am!le& a request for item A on Day 01 for quantity of 21 for rg 0. nly a quantity of 3 is a$ailable on request date& but the shortage can be met on Day 02. Pegging shows the following:

*ine 0: A ,

rg 0 Qty 21

n Day 01 n Day 01

*ine 2: A , ATP *ine 4: A , ATP 5%!lanation:

rg 0 Qty 3

rg 0 Qty 41 on Day 02

The first line re!resents the demand. The second line re!resents the su!!ly a$ailable on request date. The third line re!resents the earliest date that the remaining demand can be satisfied. The a$ailability on that date is 41.

Demand lines& e%ce!t the first demand line& indicate the actual demand that can be !laced. They do not indicate what is required. 7S8 re!resents the su!!ly line. The Pro!erties window for an item contains two tabs: (ain and ther. The dis!lay of $alues in the $arious lead time fields de!ends on the ty!e of item 7ma.eDbuy8 and whether racle )lobal rder Promising uses a s!ecific lead time for com!uting the order !romising dates for the item. /or lot based com!onents& the ther tab of the Pro!erties window for a selected !egged item in the ATP Details window dis!lays the following fields:

Component .ield: Dis!lays the !ercent of the amount of the selected item !resent in the assembly. /sage: The $alue dis!layed in this field defines the !hysical amount of the com!onent used 70 unit& 2 units& etc.8 Scaling Type: Dis!lays either *ot or Item based on the calculation basis of material requirements. Rounding Direction: Dis!lays the factor that indicates whether the integer quantity of the com!onent must be rounded u! or down. Scale Rounding 0ariance: Dis!lays the allowed $ariance 7de$iation8 of the integer quantity from the non, integer quantity& in !ercentage terms& with the non, integer quantity as the basis. If no rounding $ariance is s!ecified& it is assumed to be 1F. This means that no de$iation is allowed from the !ro!ortionally scaled quantity. In such a case& the scale multi!le would not im!act the requirement of that com!onent. Scale !ultiple: A factor used to con$ert com!onent requirements to an integer. The $alue dis!layed in this field also ensures that com!onents are consumed in multi!les of the scaling factor.

In addition& the item quantity dis!layed in the !egging tree will also be based on the selected basis for material requirements.

Note: The Pegging region of the ATP Details screen also dis!lays both forward ATP and forward +TP !egging information. Example /or a ma.e item& racle )lobal rder Promising calculates the !rocessing lead time using the following equation:

Processing lead time : fi%ed lead time G quantity H $ariable lead time racle )lobal rder Promising uses the following $alues:

/or a buy item&

Pre!rocessing lead time Processing lead time Post!rocessing lead time

Therefore& de!ending on the lead time data required for an item& the lead time fields dis!lay data in the Pro!erties window.

ATP Result

racle )lobal rder Promising allows the calling a!!lication to decide when end item substitution can occur. This is done through a !arameter in the ATP a!!lication !rogram interface. -hen an ATP inquiry or ATP scheduling occurs before an order is boo.ed& racle rder (anagement calls racle )lobal rder Promising with end item substitution enabled. After an order is boo.ed& the order is no longer eligible for automatic substitution in subsequent rescheduling acti$ities. -hen substitution is enabled and racle )lobal rder Promising recommends a substitute item during scheduling& the requested item is re!laced by the substituted item. /or details on how racle rder (anagement dis!lays substitute item& see Automatic Item Substitution within rder (anagement in Oracle Order Management User's Guide.
