MindTree Wins Indian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Award

MindTree receives the Indian MAKE Award 4th year in a row; top ranked for creating a corporate
knowledge-driven culture

Bangalore, INDIA, October 29, 2009: MindTree Ltd., a global IT Solutions company,
announced today that it has been awarded the Indian Most Admired Knowledge
Enterprise (MAKE) Award by Teleos, in association with The KNOW Network. This
was announced at the KM India 2009 Summit, held in Chennai, India, where the
award was presented to MindTree. The MAKE Award recognizes Indian
organizations that are leaders in effectively transforming enterprise knowledge into
wealth-creating ideas, products and solutions.
A panel of senior Indian business executives and leading India-based knowledge
management/intellectual capital experts found MindTree to be excellent in the area of
knowledge management. “We are delighted to once again receive this honor. We have
seen knowledge management playing a key role in our strategy, and continue to
nurture it as a key component of our vision,” said MindTree Executive Chairman
Ashok Soota.

MindTree’s Knowledge Management Function enables the organization to harness

knowledge and ideas of its people, resulting in innovation, better service delivery and
organizational learning. The key thrust areas of KM in MindTree are innovation,
collaboration and reuse. This has been realized by deploying multiple platforms that
impact people’s behavior, creativity, and productivity.

“Our approach to Knowledge Management truly differentiates us in the industry,”

said MindTree Vice President and Chief Knowledge Officer Raj Datta. “Our
customers and employees alike see the benefits in terms of higher productivity and
innovative solutions.” MindTree’s approach to Knowledge Management is holistic
and focused on building a knowledge ecosystem which MindTree defines as four
spaces within which its people interact to create value: physical space, virtual space,
social space, and mind space.

This is the fourth year in a row that MindTree has been honored with the Indian
MAKE Award, and comes on the heels of the Asian MAKE Award which was
presented to MindTree two weeks earlier. In the 2009 Indian MAKE study, MindTree
is top ranked in ‘creating a corporate knowledge-driven culture’, and ranked second in
‘developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership’.

Teleos, an independent knowledge management and intellectual capital research firm,
