American Revolution The purpose of American revolution was to break free from Britains Empire First conflict was

rejection of authority of the Parliament of Great Britain, which was unsuccessful because government was still within empire, despite establishment of equivalent governmental institutions The second conflict was known as American War of Independence in which George Washington commanded his army. 4 July 1776 congress declared independence, from that day it is known as United States Declaration of Independence American revolution was result of many social, political, intellectual transformations, known as American Enlightenment With the United Stated Constitution in 1788 was also established purpose of government

Republicanism Motivating political force behind the American revolution, which was afraid of corruption in states Founding fathers, which defended the ideology of republicanism were Samuel Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and others.. The main point of republicanism to put Public virtue superior to private virtue, to avoid luxury and ostentation

Controversial British Legalization Was one of the pieces of beginning the Revolution, because Britain wanted to block all mercantile system, where only Britain could exchange goods with America. With different Acts, such as merchant, navigation, sugar, currency, quartering, stamp (all official documents, newspapers, almanacs and pamphlets were required to have stamps) Britain pushed colonists to the limit and wanted to have the benefits of American soil only for themselves Townshend Acts increased taxes on essential goods including paper, glass, tea. Because of that colonists organized a boycott of British goods, specially they rejected tea. In Boston a large mob gathered around a group of British soldiers. They started throwing snowballs and rock towards soldiers. One soldier clubbed and fell. Because of that soldiers started to fire in crowd, killing 5 civilians and injuring 6 people. This is known as Boston Massacre. With this event relationship between Britain and colonist began to go downward.

American political opposition American political opposition initially started with the Stamp Act Congress and the Sons of Liberty, which with violence threated not to sell stamps (and no one did) Samuel Adams created new Committee of Correspondence, where he linked patriots in all 13 colonies and provided framework for a rebel government.

They promoted patriotism and home manufacturing, advising Americans to avoid luxuries and lead more simple lives. Soon they already supervised elections in each colony. Despite opposition, some colonies such as Quebec, nova scotia and others stayed loyal to the crown, from that there is name Loyalists

Loyalists 15-20% population remained loyal to the King Loyalists never controlled territory unless Army occupied it Revolution divided also families in political way: William Franklin, son of Benjamin Franklin and governor of the Province of New Jersey, remained Loyal to the Crown throughout the war; he never spoke to his father again. Some loyalist stayed in America, some relocated afterwards

Native Americans Most native Americans supported British Crown, because of trading relationships and the efforts to prohibit colonial settlement west of Appalachian Mountains. British Army provided Indians with funding and weapons against American outposts. Some Indians supported American cause and some Indians remained neutral Problem which occurred with Indians is when British transferred control east of Mississippi to the Americans, without consulting Indian allies. From that moment forward was one of darkest periods in American Indian history

African Americans Free blacks in North and South fought on both sides of Revolution Both sides offered freedom and re-settlement to the slaves who were willing to fight for them. Many African-American slaves became politically active during these years in support of the King, as they thought Great Britain might abolish slavery in the colonies. Even though British promised to free the slaves, they still continued to permit Slave Trade During the war, a lot of African-American lost their lives in front lines. After the war, Black Loyalists either stayed in territory from New York to Nova Scotia. A lot of them resettled in British colony Sierra Leone, where their descendants still live

Finance British never had problem with financing the war, because of their well organized and sophisticated financial system While Americans had no end to difficulty financing the war. Volunteer support, donations were more than welcome for Americans Until Robert Morris was named a Superintendent of Finance of US and until he didnt set up private Bank of North American, American couldnt won the war.

After the war, national debt fell into three categories. 1. Owned to foreigners 2. National government 3. State government Afterwards congress combined state debts with the foreign and domestic debs into one national debt totaling 80 million dollars. Everyone received wartime certificates, so that the nation honor would be sustained and national credit established.

Conclusion Beginning in 1650, Great Britain started to control and restrict the colonists in America by forcing them to adhere to the Navigation Acts. Between 1650 and 1776, many more restrictions were placed on the colonists and they finally united and rebelled against their home country. Both physical and verbal assaults from America were directed towards the British. Parliamentary taxation, restriction of civil liberties, and the legacy of colonial political ideas all played an equal role in the incitement of the American Revolution. many varying factors enraged the colonists to the point that they rebelled against Great Britain. The American Revolution was a result of parliamentary taxation, restriction of civil liberties, and legacy of colonial political ideas. These three factors played an equally significant role in the steps towards the separation of Great Britain and America in the American Revolution
