Audition time is 10 minutes. Unfortunately, waiting periods sometimes cannot be avoided. A warm-up room will be organized wherever possible. Piano accompanists are not provided, however, pianos are available in all audition places. Accompanists are welcome as guests. In individual cases winds, percussion and harps can audition in those places marked only for strings. In such cases, the audition will be recorded and subsequently played back to the respective jury member. Applicants will be notified of the exact time and location of the auditions about one week in advance, generally by e-mail or by telephone. There will be an audition for all string-players at the beginning of the orchestral academy. On the base of this audition the principal positions and deskings will be assigned.
