After Reading five different versions Cinderella the students will be able to compare and contrast at least 3 things from the story. The teacher will take a survey on the students favorite fairy tales.
Procedures
Direct Instruction: 1. The class will discuss the different elements of fairy tales. 2. The class will also discuss what culture is and discuss different types of cultures. 3. The teacher will read Cinderella to the students Guided Practice: 1. The teacher will pass out the worksheet to the students. 2. The teacher will model how to fill in the worksheet with the students. Independent Practice: 1. The students will work with a partner and they will read
one version of Cinderella. 2. They will fill out the worksheet after they have reads the story 3. They will choose another version of Cinderella and will fill out the worksheet with the information from that version 4. They will continue to fill out the worksheet with different versions of Cinderella. Assessment of learning Outcomes Closure 1. The students will be able to compare and contrast at least 3 things from the story. The student will wwrite a summary about what they have learned. Levels 1 & 2- The teacher will teach the students to predict, connect, question, and visualize the story.
Levels 3 & 4- The student will have reading materials available to them at their instructional level The teacher will give students a study guide when they have to read by themselves
