Workshops are offered in public and private formats. Public workshops are open to all educators and held on dates scheduled by the College Board. Private workshops are organized at the request of a school, district or other educational organization.

Affordable SAT Practice Tools


The Official SAT Online Course (Individual and school subscriptions available.) SAT School-Based Preparation
This one-day workshop provides teachers with activities and materials to design a school-based SAT preparation program. Participants will learn:  About the SAT format and question types on the mathematics, critical reading and writing sections. How to plan and conduct their preparation sessions according to student and class needs. How to effectively bring print and online SAT Readiness Program resources into the classroom.

SAT Skills Insight


Educators can use Skills Insight to identify students strengths and weaknesses at each SAT score band and develop strategies for improvement. This half-day workshop will help teachers: Articulate the skills tested on the SAT. Incorporate SAT Skills Insight into the classroom. Leverage SAT Skills Insight to identify and improve student skill sets.

Animating Student Writing


This one-day workshop gives English teachers models, lesson plans and strategies that will help students strengthen their argumentative writing skills. Teachers learn: Strategies to raise the quality of student writing. How to assess argumentative writing using the SAT Scoring Guide. How to put in place a long-term plan to improve student writing.

Writing Preparation for ESL/ELL Students


This one-day workshop helps teachers prepare students who have recently exited ESL/ELL classes for the writing section of the SAT by using models and hands-on exercises. Teachers will learn: Ways to help culturally and linguistically diverse populations approach the SAT writing section. Strategies to motivate, empower and encourage students to face the SAT writing section with confidence. How to reflect on their own teaching practices through activities and group discussions.

Holistic Scoring Workshop


This one-day workshop provides teachers with practice using holistic scoring, which judges a piece of writing by the overall impression it creates. Teachers learn: How to use holistic scoring to assess writing. Sound strategies to assist student writers. About the role of effective writing prompts in student success and valid assessment.
