Application
Luminaire suitable for use in damp environments, with an enclosed and
filtered optical assembly, for discharge lamps up to 1000W.
Particularly suitable for industrial lighting applications, including
environments with a high level of dust and fumes; mounting height over 5
metres.
Technical specification
There are two sizes, FG-17 (up to 400W) and FG-22 (up to 1000W).
Ballast housing
Available in two sizes: AG5 up to 1000W and AP5 up to 400W. Die-cast
aluminium ballast housing, with grey polyester powder paint finish applied
electrostatically and cured at 180C over an anti-corrosion layer.
The sliding disconnector guarantees safe and easy electrical and
mechanical connection to the optical assembly. Protected against
accidental contact, the simple connection system also facilitates
maintenance operations.
Easy installation using a 3/4 NPSC threaded hub, located in the housing
and resistant to vibration.
Optical assembly
The die-cast conical cover houses the E40 porcelain lamp socket. 11
different socket positions are available and they can be easily changed on
site with an ordinary screwdriver due to a die-cast inner spiral. The lamp
socket is fitted with an anti-vibration device.
The borosilicate glass top cone directs some light towards the upper
hemisphere, thus giving a more comfortable visual environment, lighting
the ceilings and reducing the contrast between the luminaire and the
surrounding environment.
The faceted reflector reduces the glare of the lamp and it is available in two
sizes: FG-17 for luminaires up to 400W and FG-22 up to 1000W.
The tempered glass door is resistant to thermal and mechanical stress.
Fixed in a metal ring with silicon gasket, it is fitted with a hinge and stainless
steel latches which ensure easy removal.
Optionally, luminaires up to 400W can be supplied with a large ballast
housing AG5 capable of operating ambient temperature up to 65C. For
higher temperatures please request additional information.

housing (AP5) up to 400W; in this case the photometric distribution is very
narrow.

housing, it is possible to supply only optical assemblies with a male sliding
connector. In this case, an A2 receptacle (see pages 186-187) is required
for mounting. This mounting accessory must be ordered separately. These
optical assemblies must be ordered as FG-17/CC and FG-22/CC.
