The ran%ing process &as created utili(ing different revised drafts, as &ell as incorporating other recognition syste's utili(ed through )I" and Panhellenic organi(ations. St"r: surpassed and excelled the 'ini'u' re6uire'ents Three ,tar and ,ix ,tar colonies#chapters are the only eligi.le for a&ards at the annual convention as they are the only entities that have co'pleted the 'ini'u' re6uire'ents nationally. Those colonies#chapters &ill .e notified of their status .efore the application for national a&ards is distri.uted. There &ill .e no 'ethods of appeal for ,tar ,tatus recognition process A+"r*' Proce'' 7nce each colony#chapter has received their recognition, those eligi.le 'ay apply for national a&ards. The a&ards criteria &ill include 6uestions that the colony#chapter president &ill have to ans&er as &ell as letters of reco''endations fro' their !ree% Life office ad'inistrators as &ell as any ca'pus partner that can spea% to the a&ard they are applying for. 9udges have to .e active 3paid4 alu's, &ho have .een at least : years re'oved fro' their chapter to .e considered. There &ill .e a li'it to ; 5udges in the a&ards co''ittee. Those 5udges &ill then re'otely receive all applications for a&ards 3&ith chapter re'oved fro' the application4 and rate the' .ased on the areas 'entioned a.ove. Each 5udge &ill evaluate the application and 'easure on these categories. The lo&est and the highest &ill .e re'oved fro' the total score 3for .ias4 Sc".e 9 A Ber& Poor = A Poor C A F" r2S"t '5"ctor& D A 1oo* : A Out't"#* #% 9udges &ill not %no& the ran%ings prior to 5udging, .ut &ill %no& after the fact &hen ta.ulating final a&ard scores. 7nce the average is co'puted fro' all 5udges that score &ill then .e added to their ran% score to give their final score. The highest colony#chapter &ill .e then recogni(ed at the annual convention.
