Teacher Objectives: Instructor demonstrates ability to adapt activity (task, time, equipment, etc.) for situations which may occur during lesson. Equipment: adapted tricycle, cones, recumbent stationary bike Protocols: (What are important protocols you will review with the individual(s) at the beginning of the lesson/activity? Script them so it is exactly what you will be saying) Today we are going to be riding the tricycle through an obstacle course! First, we need to remember that we are sharing the hallway with others, so it is important to remain at a controlled speed at all times. I would like you to follow the path of the cones to your best ability and avoid running in to them. Remember to slow down if you see someone who may be approaching into the course. LESSON CONTENT & PROGRESSIONS Introduction, skills task analysis, activity, review Teaching Cues The cues are short quotes of what you are saying to students to remind them of proper form. MANAGERIAL STRATEGIES Organization of space, equipment, students (diagrams of practice formations, equipment set up, and game situations), including method for assigning students to groups Safety Procedures Checking field, equipment, and facilities for debris, damage, etc. What safety procedures will you take to make sure ALL students are safe in your class.

Instant Activity: Student will warm-up on the stationary bike for 5 mins. Student will utilize recumbent stationary bike to perform warm-up. Seat is adjusted properly for students leg length (no overextension of the knee). Resistance is minimal for proper warm-up. Activity 1: Tricycle Obstacle Course Obstacle course will be set up throughout hallways of high school with cones. Course may weave, double-back, and incorporate a variety of directional challenges. Student will navigate course safely by proceeding to ride within cones at appropriate speed. Student can be timed, and then challenged to better that time during the next loop. Assessment/Evaluation Start Make sure obstacle course is set up away from hazardous elements within hallway, such as benches, stairs, etc. Student maintains safe speed, remaining controlled throughout hallways.

Stay within the cones.
