The community I chose to use is freshman students coming into college. Students are faced with a whole different world when it comes to college. The transition from high school to college is such a big difference it can take a toll on students. With a new schedule, harder classes and the overall college experience it is very easy to get stressed and distracted. Staying up late and not getting enough sleep students tend to become lazy if there is no exercise involved. Thats where the freshman fifteen comes in. Having endless choices of food makes it easy for a student to become out of shape. With the stress, no exercise you can find yourself gaining weight and lose of energy. One thing I think that can fix that is playing intramural sports. First, you get to meet people which can create relationships that can last a lifetime. Also, playing intramural sports is not like working out at the gym. Youre doing something you enjoy and sometimes dont even realize youre actually working out. Doing physical activity can also help lower stress that you have. With intramural sports, you are not playing for a trophy or anything like that. Its all about having fun while playing a sport you love. I believe everyone should play at least one intramural sport while in college.
