John N Person (Kanook)

As an intellectual interested in the pursuit of solving problems involving earth

sciences I some time neglect one of the greatest history books known to man, as a
matter of note it is the most widely published and read book in the history of mankind –
the Bible. The name of the book itself has an interesting history in itself where it is said
that it was named after, today one of the oldest cities in the world, Byblos in Lebanon.
Some maintain that the Bible is steeped in myth like most cultures found around the
world, the difference being the race of people were much better salesmen in marketing
their myths, and yet I find, especially in the Old Testament references to certain events
that mimic to some degree myths found spread across our Blue Marble.
To me, among others, the story of the “Rephaim” is one of the most intriguing ones I
have studied to any great length. Reportedly the Nephilim1 were the “giant” offspring
of the Sons of Elohim2 (“El”) are products of El’s sons who had intercourse with the
daughters of mortal men before and after the flood, 3 and are compared to the
Rephaim.
These Rephaim seem to pop in and out of the Biblical Scriptures causing grief to the
people of Yahweh. During their timeframe is when we read of the “Realm of the Dead”
and the origin of the Devils. The Sons of Elohim “El” are said to have been present
when the earth was created from the firmament where the Scriptures ask, “Where were
you when I laid the foundations of the Earth? Declare, if you have understanding of this
event. Who has laid the measures thereof, if you know? Or who has stretched the line
on it? Where are the Foundations fastened? Or who laid the corner stone; where you
there when the Morning Stars sang together, and all the Sons of Elohim shouted for

(which I had find interesting in these old riding, because it has been just during the last
¼ century that our modern scientists are exploring the nature of “Dark Matter”5) where
[he continued] the breath of Dark Mist, and mixed in with “Chaos” as black as Erebus,
these two things were boundless and for many ages remained as such. But along came
a “Spirit” that fell in love with its own principles where some of them were interblended
the result was called love or desire, and it was this “love” that was the creator of all
things.
In his writings he states the even though “Chaos” was a major participant of this
interblending it did not own its own creation, whereas from the embrace, “MOT” (matter
or mud – god of death) was born. A direct reference to the fact that all things made of
matter sooner or later expire. So out of this boundless, Dark Mist and Chaos came MOT
who gave substance to everything, including the first “Great Lives” devoid of all
sensation, and eventually the intelligence they soon possessed. These creations (a sort
of egg or sphere) were called the “Zophashamin” (observers in the heavens) and that
they shown forth as MOT, the Sun and the Moon, the Stars and the great Planetary
Spheres.
Then the Scriptures mention the division of the land by Elyon (“EL”) when it states,
“Remember the days of old, (and) consider the years of many Generations: ask thy
father, and he will show you. When “EL” divided to the nations their inheritance, when
he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds (borders) of the people according to
the number of the Sons of Elohim “EL”. For Yahweh’s portion is his people; Jacob is the
Lot of his inheritance.6
“Now there was a day when the Sons of Elohim came to present themselves before
Yahweh and Satan came also among them. Yahweh said unto Satan, ‘whence comest
thou? (Where have you been?) Satan answered Yahweh saying, ‘from going to and fro
in the Earth, and from walking up and down in it.”7
Phoenician mythology refers to a time when the wind “Colpias” and his wife “Baau”
produced “Aeon” and “Protogonus” (Abel and Cain-?), that were classified as mortal
men and that it was Aeon who first harvested food from the trees (earth) and that their
off-spring, “Genos” and “Genea” inhabited Phoenicia and in times of extreme duress it

was these two who called out to the heavens for assistance from “Beelsamen” (in the
Phoenician language – Lord in Heaven, in Greek – Zeus).
The Phoenician mythology mentions “Genos” as the son of Aeon who again had
many mortal children among three whose names are “Light,” “Fire,” and “Flame.” And
it is written that these children, went on to have sons that surpassed the normal size
and statue of the day, and which their names were, “Cassius,” “Libanus,” “Antilibanus,”
and “Brathy.” It is also noted that it was during this time that “Elioun” (most high) and
a female named “Beruth” were born and lived within the neighborhood of Byblos.
The Scriptures continue, “Give unto Yahweh, of you Sons of El, give unto Yahweh
glory and strength, Elohim stands in the congregation of El; he has judged among the
Elohim and I have said, you are Elohim, and all of you are Sons of Elyon. But you shall
die like men, and fall like on the Princes…For who in the Heaven can be compared to
Yahweh? Who among the sons of El can be likened unto Yahweh? Elohim is greatly to
be feared in the secret council of Holy ones, and to be held in Reverence of all them
that are about him.”8
Now we see the divine congregation, the Sons of Elohim in assembly with Yahweh at
the beginning of creation – in Canaanite Mythology (Phoenician), the father of the gods
had 70 sons with his consort “Asherah”, these are the same 70 mentioned in
Deuteronomy 32:8, under whom Yahweh divided the 70 Nations of the Gentiles by lot.
El’s Lot was the people of Israel, who came out of the Gentiles.
Some of the Sons of Elohim left their 1st Estate (position of high level) and had
intercourse with human women and they gave birth to the Nephilim or Rephaim. 9
These Rephaim were the “Mighty Men of Renown,” such as the Akkadian, “Gilgamesh”
and the Canaanite “Daniel” who was known for his wisdom.10 In Canaanite Mythology
they were of an ancient Dynasty of Kings.11 Unfortunately when they died they became
“Shades in Sheol” (Residents of Hell).12 Not only just Shades of Sheol but at its lowest
part.
There was a belief among some Jews during the time of Jesus that the Daimons
(devils) who possessed humans were the Evil Pneumas (souls) of the Rephaim, who with

someone using magic had raised them from Sheol, in much the same manner the Witch
of Endor raised the Prophet Samuel from Sheol.13
In the New Testament it also refers to an entire “Legion” of these Daimons
possessing a Gentile who Jesus heals, moving them over into an entire herd of swine. 14
However it also states that it is the Sons of Elohim as they are referred to as “the
Angels who Sinned”15 and as “the Angels which kept not their 1 st Estate, but left their
own Habitation”16 which almost implies some kind of “Trans-migration of the Psyche”
rather than their “offspring” the Rephaim, who were cast down into Tartarus (the lowest
regions of Hades, the Greek equivalent of Sheol), where they were bound by the
“Chains of Darkness” waiting for the Judgment Day. Some write it was these souls the
ones preached to and saved by our Lord Jesus Christ, when he overcame the Law, Sin,
Death and Sheol on the 3rd day17.
It appears their faith had been set from above where it is written, “And it came to
pass when men began to multiply on the face of the Earth, and daughters were born
unto them, that the Sons of Elohim saw the daughters of the men and that they were
fair, and they took them wives of all which they chose. And Yahweh said, ‘my soul shall
not always strive with man, for that he is flesh; yet his days shall be a hundred and
twenty years. There were Nephilim in the Earth in those days; and also after that, when
the Sons of Elohim came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare them children,
these children became the Mighty Men of the old, Men of Renown.”18
Accordingly the Nephilim were the “god-heroes” on antiquity, the basis for the
Common Polytheistic Mythology of the Bronze Age, they were the Divine Kings (Sons of
the Mighty Ones) who reigned on Earth, and were many times larger in stature than a
normal man. Entire Dynasties have been traced to these heroes. And the Bible itself
tells us the Flood was sent to purge the Earth of these “hybrid” creatures and the great
“Wickedness” that they had created.
Since they were “hybrid” beings, they may have passed on a form of immortality to
their offspring, this act making it necessary that Yahweh cut short their lifespan to 120-
years.

All this demonstrates the common theme that is shared in the Israelite and
Canaanite Mythology that allows certain people, like the Prophet Isaiah to make links in
order to convey Prophetic information. For example, in Isaiah 14:9, where the King of
Babylon is equated with the Rephaim in Sheol, and is also called “Lucifer”19 thus further
identifying the King with the Rephaim.
And then there came a great war that lasted over 14-years. “And it came to pass in
the days of ‘Amraphel’ King of Shinar, ‘Arioch’ King of Ellasar, ‘Cedorlaomer’ King of
Elam, and ‘Tidal’ King of Nations made war against “Bera’ King of Sodom, ‘Birsha’ King
of Gomorrah, ‘Sinab’ King of Admah, ‘Shemeber’ King of Zeboiim, and ‘Zoar’ King of
Bela.20”
It appears the first group of Kings fought under the command of Chedorlaomer for in
the 12-year then there was a rebellion of some sort. “And these were joined together in
the Vale of Siddim (Salt Sea) and in the 13th year they rebelled. And in the 14th year
came Cedorlaomer and the Kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaim in
‘Ashteroth Karnaim’, in ‘Zuzim in Ham’, ‘Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim’, and the ‘Horites’
in their Mount Seir, unto El-Parah, which is by the Wilderness.
From this passage it appears the Flood did not rid the Earth of these Giants, for as
demonstrated later in the Bible there were a few still hanging around in Abrahams’ day
and with entire tribes of them being destroyed by Moses, Joshua, Caleb and David
whereas David took on the most famous one in the Good Book, “Goliath of Gath” and
although he was successful in killing the big man he and his forces warred against with
Goliath’s offspring for many years after. There is a valley named after these big men of
Antiquity, the Valley of Rephaim.
Although Cedorlaomer is reported to have conquered Ashteroth and slain all the
Rephaim the city was later ruled by “Og of Basham21” a giant of a man, where it is
reported yet today the size of his bed and the stone it was made from, “behold his
bedstead was a bedstead of Iron, it was nine cubits in length and four cubit wide.”
Now if you take all references to “cubit”, you’ll find around 12 ranging from the
Arabic Hashimi of 650.2mm to the Roman Cubit of 444.4mm and average them you will

arrive at 507.66mm and in multiplying this time the nine cubits the length of his bed
was 15 feet and the width over 6 ½ feet. Big man, on average.
And in Genesis 15” 18-21 we find another reference to these giants, this time in the
instructions given by Yahweh to Abram.
“In the same day Yahweh made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed (his
children) I have given this land, from the ‘River of Egypt’ unto the great river, the “River
Euphrates”: the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadomonites, the Hittities, the Perizzited,
the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites and the Jebusites.”
Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, the Priest of Midian, was a Kenite22 (descendant of Cain)
and Caleb, who took possession of Hebron (location of Abraham’s tomb) was a Kenizzite
(descendant of Esau) – in plain words, neither one were Israelites by blood.
When Moses’ spies reported back to the group it is written, “And they brought an
Evil Report of the land which they had searched unto (for) the children of Israel, saying
– ‘the land, through which we have gone to search, is a land that eateth up the
inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of Great Stature. And
there they say the Nephilim, the Sons of Anak, which come of the Nephilim: and we
were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight23.”
“Anak” was the father of the Anakim, a family of Rephaim, and his father “Arba” of
Hebron was not only his father but also the Grandfather of ‘Sheshai,’ ‘Ahiman’, and
‘Talmai’ who were Rephaim slain by Caleb when he conquered Hebron24.
Evidentially Yahweh had done or had it done previously, but he forbade the invading
army to go against a few locations. “And Yahweh said unto me, Distress not the
Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a
possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession. The Emim
dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and Tall, as the Anakim, which
also were accounted Rephaim, as the Anakim; but the Moabites call them Emim….and
when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor
meddle with them” for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon any
possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.”
The Ammonites called the giants “Zamzummin”, too a great many tall people, but
Yahweh had destroyed them before the Ammonites and they succeeded and stayed in

the land in their place, having prepared the way as he did for the children of Esau, who
lived in Seir and had destroyed the “Horim” before them, and also the “Avim” which
had lived in Hazerim, Gaza and Caphtorim. And yet the warring continued.
“So Yahweh our “El” delivered into our hands Og also he King of Bashan, and we
took all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining, and we took
all his cities at that time, there was not a city which we took not from them, threescore
cities, all the region of “Argob”, the Kingdom of Og in Bashan. All these cities were
fenced with high walls, gates, and bars; besides un-walled towns a great many. And we
utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon King of Heshbon, utterly destroying the
men, women, and children, of every city. But all the cattle, and the spoils of the cities,
we took for a prey to ourselves.”
“And we took at that time out of the land of the two kings of the Amorites the land
that was on this side Jordan, from the River of Arnoun unto Mount Hermon25; all of the
cities of the plain, and all Gilead, all of Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the
King of Bashan – now only Og – King of Bashan remained of the Remnant of the
Rephaim; and the rest of Gilead and all of Bashan, being the Kingdom of Og, gave I unto
the half-tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the
Land of the Rephaim. Jair the son of Manasseh took all the country of Argob unto the
coasts of Geshuri and Maachathi and called them after his own name, “Bashan-Havoth-
Jair” unto this day.26”
The preceding clearly identifies the Nephilim as the Rephaim, with another name
thrown into the mix, “Emim”, and it shows that there were many tribes of Rephaim who
are mentioned in the Cedorlaomer campaign of Genesis 14. After the Moabites,
Ammonites, Edomites, and the Sea Peoples (Capthorim) dispossessed the Rephaim, the
Israelites finished them off “east” of the Jordan and then into Judah.
And then we read about David, who before he became a famous figure in the Good
Book was a liege-vassal of the King of Gath, the hometown of Goliath 27 and from where
he took many people (Gittites) as his servants when he became the “Christ King of
Zion”, which was made possible after defeating the Philistines and the Rephaim
(Goliath’s sons) in the Valley of the Rephaim and in Gath28.

David took “Rabbah29” which at the time was a Royal City and personally took the
Crown of Malcom30 (King of the Ammonites) off his head and placed it on his own head.
The Scriptures then refer to Joshua and his great battle which over time are proving
hard to defend, some saying they are a description of lesser battles and maybe even
small inter-tribal conflicts that have been set to the pen to reinforce the modern Jewish
state, however in their context they must represent some truth even through modern
archeology is finding the events not even close to the time frame in the Bible.
“And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakim from the mountains, from
Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the
mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities. There was none of
the Anakim left in the land of the children of Israel: Only in Gaza, Gath and Ashdod
some remained.”
“And the coast of Og, King of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the Rephaim,
that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei and reigned in Mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and
all in Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half in
Gilead, the border of ‘Sihon’ King of Heshbon… All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which
reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the Rephaim: for
these did ‘Moses’ smite, and cast them out. Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled
not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites, as they the Geshurites and Maachathites
dwell among the Israelites to this day.”
“And the name of Hebron before was “Kirjath-Arba”, Arba (father of Anak) was a
great man among the Anakim…And the border [of Judah] went up by the Valley of the
Son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the
border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the Valley of Hinnom
westward, which is at the end of the Valley of the Rephaim northward…and unto Caleb
the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the word
of Yahweh to Joshua, even the city of Arba, which city is Hebron. And Caleb drove
thence the three sons of Anak, “Sheshai’, ‘Ahiman’, and ‘Talmai’, the children of
Anak…”
“And Joshua answered them [the children of Joseph], if thou be a great people, then
get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the
Perizzites and of the Rephaim, if Mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee…And Judah

went against the Canaanites that dwelt in Hebron (or) Kirjath-Arba, and they slew
Sheshai, Ahiman and Talmai.31”
The preceding paragraph shows the people of Judah complaining that they did not
have sufficient room either for their crops are to graze their animals, and Joshua throws
down the gauntlet and tells them to go and get some, which they did, to me under the
guise of getting rid of some tall people – just the way I read it.
There are two references in the Bible to a “Talmai”, one is ‘Talmai’ the King of
Geshur32 and the other is Talmai the son of Anak, a Rephaim – the Bible tells us that the
King was Absalom’s grandfather, but, the city of Ashtoroth was in Geshur, where the
Rephaim were defeated by Cedorlaomer33 and when Saul’s suffered his defeat his armor
had been taken to the house of Ashtaroth by the Philistines of Mount Gilboa34.
The question is thus, did “Absalom have Rephaim blood in his veins, perhaps a clue
can be in pointing to the fact that he constructed a Pillar for himself in the King’s Dale35,
also known as the Valley of Shaveh36. It was in this valley that Abram met with
Melchizedek after he defeated Cedorlaomer, the King who had defeated the “Emims” at
Shaveh Karnaim37. The term “Shaveh” [plain] could very well be a word with Rephaim
meaning, if so, Absalom may have erected his Pillar there due to this background and
his own bloodline. If the King of Geshur was of Rephaim stock, then David’s conflict
with Absalom was the final confrontation he had with the Rephaim.
“And there went out a Champion from the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath of
Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span [using my average again, and just
counting the six cubit not knowing the definition of a “span” his height was well over 10
feet]. And he had a helmet of bronze upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of
mail; and the weight of the coat was 5,000 shekels of bronze [I am not sure how much a
shekels weights, but if you assume 1/10 of a pound or 1.6 ounces this would equate to
500 lbs, even at half that weight it would 250 lbs]. He had greaves of bronze upon his
legs and a target of bronze between his shoulders. And the staff of his spear was like a
weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighted 600 shekels of Iron [again not sure what

the weight of an IRON shekel is at 3.2 ounces that is 120 lbs]: and one bearing a shield
went before him…”
“And the Philistine said to David: ‘Come to me and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls
of the air, and to the beasts of the field.’ Then David to the Philistine, ‘Thou comest to
me with a sword, and with spear, and with a shield: but I come to you to thee in the
name of Yahweh Sabaoth, the Elohim of the Armies of Israel, whom thou has defied.
This day will Yahweh deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine
head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto
the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the Earth; that all the Earth may know that
there is an Elohim of Israel. And all this assembly shall know that Yahweh saveth not
with sword and spear, for the battle is Yahweh’s, and he will give you into our hands.’”
“And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet
David that David hastened, and ran toward the Army to meet the Philistine. And David
put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine
in his forehead, (with such force) that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon
his face to the Earth.”
“So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone and killed the
Philistine; but having no sword he ran and stood on the Philistine and took his sword,
and drew it out of the sheaf thereof and slew him, and cut off his head therewith….and
David took the head of the Philistine and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put the armor
in his tent.”
“But when the Philistines heard that they had made Christ David King over Israel, all
the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the Valley of Rephaim. And David
inquired of Yahweh, saying, ‘Shall I go up to the Philistines? Wilt thou deliver them into
mind hand?’ And Yahweh said unto David, ‘Go up; for I will doubtless deliver the
Philistines into thine hand.’ And David came to Baal-Perazim and David smote them
there, and said, ‘Yahweh hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the
breach of waters.’ Therefore he called the name of that place – Baal-Perazim [Breach of
Baal] at the time of David, “Baal” meant “Lord” and was an alternative name for
Yahweh.”

JNP – Page 10

“And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them. And the
Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the Valley of Rephaim…and
David…some the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gaza.”
“Moreover the Philistines had yet war with Israel; and David went down, and his
servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint (was
wounded). And Ishbibenob38, which was of the Sons of the Rephaim, the weight of
whose spear weighed three-hundred shekels (60 lbs) he being girded with a new sword,
though to have slain David. But “Abishai” the son of Zeruiah succored him, and smote
the Philistine and killed him.”
After almost loosing his life it is written;
“Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, ‘Thou shalt go no more out with us
to battle, that thou quench not the Light of Israel:’ And it came to pass after this that
there was again a battle with the Philistines of Gob; then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew
Saph39, which was of the Sons of Rephaim. And there was again a battle in Gob the
Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaare-Oregim (a Bethlehemite) slew Goliath the
Gittite40, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam. And there was yet a battle
in Gath, where was a man of great stature 41, that had on every hand six fingers, and on
every foot six toes (four and twenty in number) and he also was born to the Rephaim.
And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the ‘brother’ of David slew him.
These four were born to the Rephaim in Gath, and fell by the hand of Davice, and by the
hand of his servants42.”
I found it noteworthy that David takes the head of Goliath to Jerusalem 43. It could
have been that David still worshipped at the old “Shrine of El Elyon” and had taken his
battle trophy to the Priest-King (Melchizedek) of Jerusalem at that time, his name may
have been Araunah, especially since he and David appear to have been still on
excellent terms with each other when the Angel of Yahweh was about to destroy
Jerusalem several years later44.

That he took the head as a trophy appears to have been a customary practice at the
time, since the Philistines took the head of Saul and put it on display in the House of
their Idols and put his armor in the House of their Goddess Ashteroth45.
In other historical records, especially in the accounts of the early Phoenicians the
Goddess Ashtaroth (or) Astarte was at times referred to as “Aleim”, as is the Goddess of
the Germans Easter, this in a sense the ‘plural’ feminine is distinctly found to be “Aleim
the Creator”, “Aleim the Preserver,” and “Aleim the Destroyer” in most references not
by influence but ‘literally’!
It should also be noted that Yahweh and Baal were synonyms for God at this time
in46 Baale/Ballah or Judah (where the Ark of Yahweh was kept) otherwise known as
Kirjath-Jearim, Kirhath-Baal, or just Baal47.
There no doubt in the minds of many that the Rephaim did walk the Earth, where as
even Isaiah asked the questions, “Wilt thou show wonders to the Rephaim? Shall the
Rephaim Arise and Praise thee? Shall thy loving kindness be declared from the grave?
(or) thy faithfulness in Abaddon?”
Apparently Abaddon was a female goddess who if you followed her way would lead
you directly to “Sheol” and your steps would lead you to the master chamber of death.
And that “her” way and the place of Sheol was never empty and welcomed all.

In my research I found that the name of one of the oldest deities, of which we
have multiple accounts, is “Set” (which is the Phoenician name) or “Seth” (which is the
Hebrew version) --- traces of this God are found in “all” oriental countries, and in most
primitive religions, where he (or she) appears as the supreme God. It is written that
“Seth” represents or signifies, “appointed or put in the place of the murdered Abel.”
According to the story of creation as set forth in the “Jehovistic” account, on the
night that God had finished his work, and immediately after he had commanded Adam
to “be fruitful”, he gave to Adam a staff, which is noted as being passed on to “Enoch”
and all the patriarchs ---- but it also states that this staff was given to “Seth”, and that it
was a branch of the “Tree of Life”.
It appears (after further research) that there was two “distinct” sects (or religions)
that were practiced, as the handing down of the branch first to Adam (or man) by

“Aleim”, and its subsequent transfer to “Seth” (god of nature) or the “Destroyer or
Regenerator”, seems to point to a victory of sorts for the “adherents” of a purer
religion. Some write, “It is well known to the reader that the descendants of Cain are
distinguished in the Scripture by the name of the “sons of man” or Adam, than those of
Seth by the name of the “sons of God”. [Gen vi., 2(85)] Whereas “Julius Africanus”
says, “that all the righteous men and patriarchs down to the Savoir himself have sprung
from ‘Seth’ and have been denominated as the ‘sons of God’ in contradistinction to the
‘sons of man’.”
In the modern Scriptures, what we read today, it indicates the transfer of the
creative agency (energy) from Aleim to Adam, and that the abstract “principle” or of a
“Trinity” composed of the power of Nature has lost its power, this due the reproductive
energy of man, whereas Adam (or man) had become the creator.
Through time and the comprehensive study of Genesis it has become “probable”
that the names, Adam, Cain, Abel and Seth originally stood for the races of men, and
that in time certain religious doctrines were associated with them. In Genesis you read
about the killing of Abel, where he was the tiller of the ground, and that of Cain the
keeper of the sheep --- this narrative indicates a quarrel which ended in the death of the
Abel. After his death, or after one of these “principles” or “sects” had been subdued,
the older religion was “revived”, and Seth, as the Aleim, (or) as the creative power was
again appointed or again worshipped.
With Abel out of the picture, it would appear that “Seth” was appointed to represent
the 3rd person of the Trinity – the Destroyer or Regenerator, which previously embodied
all the powers of the Creator or Preserver. This fact or theory has been observed by the
ancient philosopher’s who believed “matter” to be eternal, and that death (or)
destruction was necessary to renew life or regeneration --- as it is stated, creation was
but the continuous change in the form of matter.
The doctrines of the “Sethians”, at the beginning of Christianity, as noted by
“Hippolytus48” who said, “their system is made of tenets from natural philosophers.
Where they embrace a belief in the Eternal Logos (Darkness, Mist and Tempest).” Since
that time these elements have been identified with the Evil Principle (or) the Devil. He
went on to observe they (the Eternal Logos) were finally set forth as the Trinity,
regarding cold, darkness and water (or) darkness, mist, and tempest.

Going on he writes, “These the Sethian say are the “three” principles of our system,
or that the “three” were born in paradise, Adam, Eve and the Serpent, or when the
Sethian speaks of three persons, Cain, Abel, Seth and again three others, Shem, Ham,
Japheth, or when he mentions the “three” patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob --- always
in the Trinity.
Through time and not thoroughly understood why, the ones who followed the older
faith succeeded in reinstating their Deity whereas the powers of Nature had come to be
represented by “Typhon” Seth --- he/she was the God of Death and of Life, of
Destruction and Regeneration. The heat of the desert and the chill of winter were Seth,
as were also the powers of Spring.
Various writers of antiquity refer to the “Typhon Seth” as a feminine deity, in some
cases it has been noted that “she” was the early God of the Jews (in other words) they
formerly worshipped a female Deity, Jehovah was originally a female?
Written in the “Old Testament” are certain allegories that even today are not fully
understood, but the belief that Cain, Abel and Seth are represented as the self-
triplicated Deity are shown as still being believed after the “idea” that man as a creator
had been established, (or) when his power to reproduce was (and is) the highest
concept of a creative force --- this is evident or consistent with what is known of the
“Cabala49” of the Jews. It is written that this ancient set of doctrines, which in most
cases if misunderstood were “patched” together as a basis for the later developments
of the Jewish religious experience.
It is noted (Old Testament) that 600 years after Adam appears, Noah steps into the
record as another self-triplicated Saviour or “preserver” of man, with his ark or “seed”
vessel, coupled (although thinly veiled) with a reference to the female element. Later
we read that Abraham becomes the “Great Father or Saviour”, and later still “Moses”.
By this time it becomes evident that the creative force in Nature was lost (as pointed
out in the Old Testament) and that man or the worship of the “male” power is
predominant, in direction opposition to that of the “Mother”, (or) female power. By the
time of Moses, this made up the religion of the masses, whereas Jehovah came to be
regarded as entirely male and as a spirit, and in most cases the “female” principle
(matter) or the woman was finally to become identified with the “Devil”. Point: How

many “male” witches have you read about, compared to the number of “female”
witches, and how is the witch portrayed even today?
The belief or doctrine that the “spirit” is evolved only through “matter”, or that
“matter” must be raised to a certain “state” before the “spirit” can manifest itself, was
no longer understood --- only the shell of this doctrine (myths and symbols of Nature)
remained, and these were taken literally with the result that man’s religion finally
evolved to what was once his “lower” position – man and man alone.
When the time arrived that “man” had gained his ascendancy over “woman”, he
was too proclaim himself the “sole” Creator of their joint offspring (noted even in
mythology) when men are tied to their offspring, and in some cases the women are not
even mentioned as being part of the process, or in other instances it is stated that
women are allowed to couple with anyone they chose, so it is not important if they are
mentioned as mothers. As man claims his superiority he moves from his earthly status
back into the realm of the “child of heaven” – so-to-speak! But, he is not able to
completely remove his “association” with earth, as again reference in mythology or
other religious writing where it says, “sons of God(s)”, were united to the “daughters of
man.” Jahvah (Jehovah) the “God of Hosts”, who was revengeful, weak, jealous, and
cruel, was worshipped in place of “Aleim” the great “dual” force throughout Nature.
Now, the spiritual essence of the male resided “somewhere” in the heavens and
created from a distance, while the earth (female) furnished “only” the body of material
substance – matter.
In this it is found the workings of the doctrines of the ancients (after the true
meaning was lost) were changed so as to conform to the enforced humiliation and
degradation of women.
Seth was for ages worshipped in Egypt, and as “she” comprehended the power of
Nature, or the creative energy of the sun and earth, “little” is heard or noticed of any
other God. Somewhere in time Seth is worshipped more in “her” capacity as a
Destroyer than a Regenerator and from this we understand the “origin” and “character”
of the Devil --- at times understanding too much, we loose the original concept that at
one time she was once a very respectable personage and a powerful Divinity, a Divinity
that was worshipped by a people whose superior intelligence never raises a question.
Before the downfall of Seth, the masses understood that she could destroy but only
in order to recreate (reproduce). Once this principle drifted aside and was forgotten but

only by a certain few, the evil being arose as evidenced in some nations, where in the
Celtic Iberno he/she is labeled, “Baal-Zebub”, “Baal Lord”, and “Zab Death” (Lord of
Death) --- but also he/she is referred to as “Aleim”, interestingly enough, the same God
of the Israelites, as he was one of the Trinity.
The round-about direction leans toward the name “Aleim” as the feminine gender,
whereas the Goddess Ashtaroth (or) Astarte was at times referred to as “Aleim”, as is
the Goddess of the Germans Eoster, in a sense the “plural” feminine is distinctly found
to be “Aleim the Creator”., Aleim the Preserver and Aleim the Destroyer, and as it is
noted in writings, not by inference but literally.
I was not aware that in their history the Hebrews worshipped Astarte and Baal, they
together representing the “indivisible God”, it is after that they chose to worship the
male principle found today --- they picked one male independent deity as their only
important agency in the creative processes, discarding Astarte as she could not be
worshipped (in a manner) without her counterpart Baal, and when he along with her
was eliminated from their practices “he” stood for something very close to the Devil. I
also found in interesting that in Hebrew Baal is of the masculine form, while in Greek
translations, both in the Old Testament and the New Testaments he is “Feminine.”
I was to also learn that along with Jehovah being originally female, that “Netpe” the
Holy Spirit of the Egyptian Tree of Life was also feminine, and that her hieroglyphic
name was “Abyss of Heaven” and now for a common reference. It is said that “Osiris”
was the son of Netpe (or) Mary, the Celestial Virgin Mother, whereas he is the only God
of the Egyptians born on earth and he lived among men. Notice the “mythology” and
how it is tied to the Birth of Christ, even down to the name of the women who was
present at his birth! It is also mentioned that “Osiris” was born on Mount Sinai, called
by the Egyptians “Nysa”, hence they also gave him the name “Dionysos”.
So here we have it, the circle is almost complete when it comes to the cycle of the
gods, the female principle is cast aside as “Osiris” takes center stage as the 1st offspring
of the Egyptian Celestial Virgin to mankind, in that he was the new sun of
“righteousness” who was to renew the world, or redeem mankind from sin --- this is
Egyptian records, not Hebrew or Christian writings.
However, as observed, Seth the Destroyer had been deposed, but the “idea” is so
deeply ingrained in human consciousness he/she had become the female creator,
moving from Creator Destroyer/Regeneration to just the Destroyer (Devil), and that Isis,

JNP – Page 16

the Queen of Heaven, a lower conception of Muth (or) of universal womanhood,
whereas she soon assuming a position near Seth beside Osiris --- it is noted that the
Egyptians had a total of eight great gods, with one of them beside the three mentioned,
Horus. Some say that originally “Osiris” really signifies the “Eye of Isis”, and that
according to Plutarch, Isis and Muth are identical --- but from existing evidence today
Muth is the representation of “Divine Womanhood”, or the female principle as it “was”
regarded at an earlier stage of human growth. At that earlier time, “Muth” is not only
the parent of the sun, or the force which produces the sun, but she is also “wisdom”,
the 1st emanation from the Deity, and at the same time she comprehends all the
possibilities of Nature, in the other words she represent the “Law of Nature”. Whereas
“Isis” seems to represent the Deity at a time when the higher truths, known to a more
ancient people were beginning to lose their hold upon mankind.
Matter is eternal, and the destruction of vegetable life through the onset of cold was
one of the necessary processes of regeneration, or the renewal of life, all of this
evidently thinking must have been lost when “Seth” was dethroned in Egypt, where
both Seth and Osiris were adored. That is until a change in the 14 th century BCE, where
Seth who had occupied an important position in the line of Deities is wiped from the
annals of Egypt, it is said under the influence of foreigners.
