Aim of the Seminar


The National Seminar on " Mobile Computing and Mobile Applications Development (MOBAPP-2014) is dedicated to state of the art research on mobile computing and its application including services. It attempts to create a forum bringing together academic researches & professionals to jointly explore in the fascinating area of Mobile Computing, Wireless Communication, Wireless Ad hoc and Sensor Networks, Applications, and Services. At the same time it includes how mobile computing changes, how people use their computers, computing resources and applications, as well as the systems, services and technology enabling those applications. MOBAPP- 2014 will be a diverse seminar and we strongly encourage the submission of experimental and theoretical papers on issues related to mobile computing and communication challenges in the presence of various Wireless and Mobile Networks.

Call for papers


We invite research/review papers from individuals for contributing and presenting their work in this domain. Authors from Universities /Institutes/R&D Centers/ Industries are requested to send two copies of abstract up to 500 words. The abstract of the paper is to be communicated by email to mobapp2014@gmail.com . Please bring along two copies (one soft copy, preferably on CD and one hard copy) of full-length paper and power point slides on the day of presentation.

Broad areas of interest include but not limited to:


Mobile Computing Architectures, protocols, and algorithms for various wireless and mobile networks. System design, implementation, and evaluation of wireless systems and mobile applications. Real-world measurements and characterization. Performance-oriented design and evaluation focused on networks and mobile applications. Modeling, simulation, emulation and measurement of mobile systems. Techniques that deal with low power and energy limitations. Operating system and middleware support for mobile computing and networking. Security, privacy, and trustworthiness of mobile and wireless systems. Integration and interworking of wired and wireless networks. Emerging topics, e.g., robotic swarms, 60 GHz networking, social networking and novel applications enabled by mobile and wireless networking systems. Integration and interworking of wired and wireless networks. Foundational underpinnings of wireless networks. Mobile applications Pervasive, Sensing, Social, Novel and Personalization etc.

About the Institute


N.C.College of Engineering, Israna(Panipat) is a premiere self financing group of educational institutions in the state of Haryana. It was established in the year 1998 in the memory of Lt. Lala Nemi Chand Ji, a freedom fighter and social reformist. The institute offers B.Tech, M.Tech, BBA, MBA and Doctoral programs. The primary aim of our technical campus is to maintain high standards of technological and management education to equip the youth of nation to achieve the goals of the great visionaries of the country. It is the first institute under Kurukshetra University to get the Autonomus status in 2008 and the institute has been declared a center of excellence in technical education and conferred complete autonomy by the State Goverment N.C.College of Engineering is the only private college in Haryana selected by Govt. of India for the World Bank project grant of Rs. 4 Crores under TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Program). The college is situated near Israna on National Highway No. 71A (Panipat-Rohtak Road) about 14 Kms from Panipat.

Organizing Department
The department has excellent infrastructure and faculty to provide the ideal technical education to meet the industry standards. It houses updated laboratories, library facilities to its students and well-trained and experienced faculty teaching various courses. The goal of this department is to be outstanding in every aspect of its function, namely graduate and post graduate, and sustain excellence in teaching and research. Strengths Young and dynamic faculty motivated and geared to excel in education and research. Summer training of faculty and students for the subjects required for industry. Industry institute interaction: Experts from industries deliver industry-oriented training to the students. CISCO collaboration: A CISCO lab is established to train the students according to the industry requirement in the networking field. R&D: Special attention is paid to research and development activities in the latest fields in Computers. Faculty members have published papers in international and national journals and presented papers in national as well as international conferences. Oracle training by Oracle certified instructors.
