Let me give you an example- part of my current academic studies also includes the opportunity to work as an undergraduate research assistant investigating biomass movement in a storage hopper by investigating the flow of particles. Such early exposure to research has helped me understand the necessary steps and precautions to take when conducting research. As well as early exposure to research I am able to have a personal connection with not only the faculty member that I am currently working with, Dr. Pohlman, but I am also able to communicate with other faculty members in Northern Illinois University engineering building. I have developed social, assistantship skills, and computer programing in the MATLAB software: as seen under the desired technical skills/experience section, knowing how to use MATLAB is a desired skill that not many engineers know coming into their favored career: especially a job that desires for one to have such a skill. Being able to know how to use MATLAB can help me contribute to the many employees who seek for those with the same or greater skill. Having had taken courses that pertain to popular culture and communication I believe I have the necessary communication skills for Rockwell Collins.
