Objective

After I graduate from The College of New Jersey, I hope to pursue a career as a Middle School or High School Mathematics teacher.

Experience

Field Experience: West Amwell School

March 2014-April 2014

While at West Amwell School, I observed and helped out in a fifth grade mathematics classroom. Through this experience, I learned how to diffuse fights between students and how to address a problem from several different ways to get through to the students. Field Experience: Hunterdon Central Regional High School February 2014-March 2014

While at Hunterdon Central, I observed numerous teacher teaching freshmen and sophomore students Geometry, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2. From this experience, I gained insight on how to use varying methods to teach a given topic. Field Experience: East Amwell Township School 7th 8th September 2013-November 2013

While at East Amwell School, I observed and grade math classes taught by the same teacher. Through this experience, I learned about dealing with students who are not cooperating in class, as well as how to use a SMART Board. Art Sparks Studio March 2013-Present

While working at Art Sparks Studio, I have learned to work with kids and help them through any difficulty they may be having. I have also learned what kinds of responsibilities come with working with a group of 15-20 kids with only one other adult. Panera Bread July 2011-Present

I have become an associate trainer over my two and a half years at Panera Bread. I have learned how to teach new employees as well as how to remain patient and work with my fellow employees until they grasp a concept.

Education

Raritan Valley Community College

September 2012-present

While at Raritan Valley Community College, I have maintained a 3.97 GPA and have been inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I am a secondary education major with a focus in mathematics. I will have earned my Associates Degree once this spring 2014 semester has come to a close. In addition, I also am about to receive the Academic Achievement Award in Education. I also used the NJ STARS program to my advantage as it reduced the cost of my college tuition Hunterdon Central Regional High School September 2008-June 2012

Throughout high school, I maintained a 3.87 GPA and graduated in the top 15% of my class, which

is why I received the NJ STARS scholarship.
