I am writing to express my interest in a teaching position at the Elementary School level
within the Clark County School District. As a recent graduate of Nevada State College, with
my BA in Elementary Education coupled with my four years of guest teacher experience, I
feel that I have equipped myself with the necessary tools to be a successful teacher. I am
confident with my background and very enthused to find a school to call home.
During my time in the classroom, I have developed exceptional teaching techniques, and
have designed and implemented many classroom strategies to ensure the overall success of
our children. Throughout my years of guest teaching and semester of student teaching, I
have demonstrated the ability to be organized, prepared, committed, patient, and dedicated
to each and every job I have held, doing whatever it takes to improve student academics.
With high demand to improve scores on state mandated tests, I have been highly involved
with the training of our students to achieve higher scores on these tests during my student
teaching at Hollingsworth ES and guest teacher positions at Beatty ES. I have a passion for
teaching and enjoy collaborating with my colleagues to strategize on what is best for our
students. I believe through proper teamwork, use of technology, planning, and follow
through each student has a shot at academic success.
These are just a few examples of areas I am committed to keep my focus on. I hope that you
will find that this brief view, in combination with the attached resume, describe a dedicated
employee of the Clark County School District with the experience and skills to meet or
exceed the requirements of a full time elementary school teacher. I appreciate your
