Admissions: The admissions are through Common Admission Test Scores (CAT or XAT) conducted by IIMs and XLRI, or GMAT score, followed by a rigorous group discussion and personal interview with an emphasis on consistent academic record. Team Arrangement: The PGDM programme is a two year full time programdivided in to six trimesters. Induction Programme: The first week of the PGDM programme before the commencement of the first trimester is dedicated to an induction programme meant for acclimatizing the fresh entrance with the ambience of management education in general and to ITM-Chennai in particular. The programme consists of the following courses: Communication Skills. Indian Ethos in Management. Accounting and Finance. Mathematics, Statistics and Analytical Skills. Computer and IT Skills. Yoga, Pranayamamand Meditation Techniques. Interpersonal Skills and Life Skills. The Main Programme: The induction programme is followed by three trimesters in the first year and three trimesters in the second year. Each trimester consists of thirteen (13) weeks. The only vacation/ holidays the students get are for 10 days during second/fifth term at the time of Diwali. There are no other long duration vacation/ holidays in ITMsystem. Project Structure: PGDM at ITM is divided in to six trimesters. It includes compulsory (5 credits each), Electives (5 credits Trimester 5: Trimester 6: CAPSTONE PROJECT WORK each), Summer Project (5 credits) and End Project (15 credits) totaling to 210 credits. The number of compulsory and elective courses in each term is as given in the table below; In the second year of the PGDM program, students are required to opt for major specialization. The fourth and fifth trimesters are focused on subjects related to their specialization. Apart fromthis, Professor may announce special elective courses, which will be offered as additional paid elective, provided there is minimal enrollment. World Class Manufacturing Practices International Business PGDM (Chennai Campus) 2-year, full-time AICTE approved program The ProgramCurriculum: Induction module Introductory Lectures: The PGDM International Business program was initially being offered only at the ITM Navi Mumbai Campus. However, with increasing demand for insight into the Asia- Pacific regions, ITM has entered into a collaboration with EASB, Singapore and launched the PGDM IB program (with a Singapore term) in its sprawling campus at Chennai. The PGDM International Business program at Chennai starts with a week-long, intense Induction Module to give participants an overview of the core subjects and to help bring all of them to a common platform. The soft skills development program and the outdoor camp play an instrumental role in increasing interaction and bonding amongst batch mates. The first three terms are conducted at the Chennai campus. In the third term, a one-week trip to Mumbai is included. This encompasses visit to financial institutions, stock market simulations, company visits, guest lectures and seminars.This is followed by the summer term, which is the focal point of this program. The entire batch proceeds to Singapore to be taught by international faculty. This term at EASB, Singapore exposes the students to the business realities in the Asia-Pacific region.
