ASSIGNMENT THREE REFLECTION
This assignment was something I felt was a little out of the norm for an English
class and was also a little bit worried since I had neer done an!thing like this before" I
must be honest at first I hated the idea# the thought of haing to make a film and all the
work I felt came with it did not make for a ha$$! cam$er" %fter eer!thing was e&$lained
though and I saw that it would be a grou$ $ro'ect instead of a $ersonal one I became a bit
more at ease with it" Initiall! I wondered how the three of us in the grou$ would integrate
our ideas into one common theme# but three brains are better than one and we came u$
with the idea of using the show (The )irst *+, to form our show" Then came the
challenge of who was going to act in the film and at first I did not want to do it# but since
I reall! had no choice I sucked it u$ and did what had to be done" -ome of the strengths I
feel I had in this $ro'ect were getting oer not wanting to be an actor in the moie and
actuall! acting in the moie" Looking back at the whole thing it reall! was not as bad as I
thought it would be. een though I wanted m! face to be hidden the entire time" -ome of
m! weakness would be the detailed things like editing and making it into an actual film"
%gain I hae neer done an!thing like this so when it came to these things I was lost" It is
not something that I had eer een thought of doing so I did not know what to do" I feel a
lot of the comments made b! the class and !ourself where good ones# such as some intro
music and a time stam$ of some sort. like the count down clock on the show we formed
ours off of" I reall! do not feel an! of the comment were not good ones some 'ust
re/uired too much for the $ro'ect such as tr!ing to blur out m! face" The roles each of the
grou$ members took in the $ro'ect were agreed u$on and I do not feel an!one was reall!
lacking" 0e all worked on the stor!board and coming u$ with how the show was going to
go and what scenes where going to be used and acted out" Eer!one was to hae an
acting $art. I was to be the criminal and %shle! and 1eff were to do different characters
since we were short on $eo$le and I was the criminal and reall! could not do an o$$osing
character" %shle! took on the role of editing since the filming was done on her $hone and
I feel that she did a great 'ob" I would rate both %shle! and 1eff with a grade of % because
not onl! did the! do a great 'ob I know that I would not hae been able to do this without
them" 2erall this assignment was a great e&$erience and a fun one but would not want to
do it again unless I knew more about actuall! making the film"
