Free !tate to )urban was forced to abandon its cargo when the
chemical began to leak from a cracked tank on to the N/ southbound
near the 8ilton on&ramp on Tuesday.
The leaking hydrochloric acid came into contact with water on the side of
the highway sending clouds of poisonous gas into the air. The highly
corrosive substance could also be seen causing damage to the road
surface.

$oucourakis who was on scene to inspect the situation said that one of
the two '2 :::&litre tanks carrying the acid had cracked causing the
leakage.
8e warned that hydrochloric acid is ;highly flammable; and could cause

According to $oucourakis the poisonous gas caused by the acid spill
could cause respiratory problems and damage to the skin. 8e said that

The amount of adhesive is 5&(: g<m1. +araffin with a melting point of 22&4:L$ can laminate aluminium foil to paper when only superficial
bond strength is necessary. *icrocrystalline wa,es find wide use for the lamination of packaging materials including aluminium foil cellulose
film and paper. The plastic nature of these wa,es makes them soft and tacky. They also have poor heat resistance due to their low melting
point of appro,imately 4:&I:L$. At a coating weight of ':&'2 g<m1 these wa,es provide barrier properties in addition to adhesion.
