The Advanced Course in Quantity Surveying has been designed to provide you with advanced
knowledge and understanding of quantity surveying techniques and practice including dispute
resolution, project management and value and risk management.
This course enables you to have an advanced understanding of the fundamental activities
which comprise quantity surveying and it will also take you through a logical sequence of
thinking about quantity surveying. The learning activities draw on both the hypothetical
situations commonly found in quantity surveying and from ones personal experience within the
workplace.

This distance learning programme is suitable for quantity surveying professionals who have at
least a foundation or intermediate understanding of the quantity surveying competency required
within the industry.

You will be assessed through an online examination hosted by the RICS Online Academy. The
online examination will take place at the end of the 6 month course and you will need to acquire
the requisite minimum score to successfully complete the course.
Upon successful completion of the course delegates would have completed 200 CPD hours
study over the 6 month period. Delegates will also receive a globally recognised certificate
confirming you have successfully completed the distance learning programme in Advanced
Quantity Surveying.
