Obamas Affordable Care Act is a step in the direction of Free Health Care for the United States.
However, a lot of possible issues present themselves with this law. One of the
aforementioned issues is that investigative reports claim that with a free health care
option, up to two million people will no longer have a reason to work and will quit their
jobs or cut their hours. Due to the new laws, many people will choose to become
completely unemployed or will reduce their hours voluntarily. Also implied with this new
law is the fact that employers may hire less people or cut hours in order to make up for
the new fine for employers that do not offer insurance options for any of their employees
that work more than 30 hours a week. It is predicted that approximately 6 million people
will be enrolled in private health plans through the new law by the end of the deadline
this year. The CBO states that enrollment should reach up to between 24 and 25 million.
Through all this, the CBO predicts that 92 percent of American citizens will have
insurance by 2017.

This article focuses around citizens in Illinois having the possibility to save money with
universal healthcare. The new plan that was proposed in Illinois would eliminate
unnecessary administrative costs that increase the cost of healthcare. The plan would
change the source of income for healthcare to more visible sources such as taxes. The
proponents of this plan wanted to move the money from the bureaucrats to the actual
healthcare providers, driving costs down. This new plan would save an estimated four
billion dollars in its first year, and extend the coverage of healthcare to all citizens who
have lived in Illinois for at least six months.

I believe that this is a credible source because it comes from USA.gov; which is the official web
portal of the United States government. It is used to provide the United States with a
credible website to get updated information of what is going on in the United States. Due
to being our government's official website, the information that is provided on it is
credible information.

In this source, it explains what health care is: the maintenance and improvement of physical and
mental health, especially through the provision of medical services. After it tells readers
what health care is, it goes into talking about a few of the different types of health care
that can be provided to people. It talks about Medicare and what it is, who is eligible for
it, and what benefits it provides. Medicare is a federally administered system of health
insurance available to people aged 65 and over. Next, it talks about what Medicaid is,
who can be eligible for it, and the different benefits provided to the users. Medicaid is
health care for the impoverished and is a federally and state-funded program. As you can
see, in order to be eligible for certain types of health care, you have to be a certain age,
make a certain amount of money, or be impoverished. People that are classified as
middle-class but cannot afford health care are not as eligible for these programs as much
as people that are more unfortunate. Therefore, health care should be free to all people to
be equal and fair to all citizens.
