What is a Visionary Fair Project?
This is a project designed to immerse the student in the math of life. We have
taken the simple statement, When I grow up I want to be and turned it into
an investigation. At the completion of this project, the students will have a full
understanding about the career they chose to investigate and at that time, the
student will be empowered to follow the plan that he/she has mapped out for that
career, or he/she may decide that they really are not interested in pursuing that
career anymore.

What should you display on your presentation board?
1. Complete the activities in the Creating A Life Plan station. You will need to use some of
the documents that you completed to make displays on your Math Visionary Fair.

Documents from the Creating A Life Plan Station;
Career Information Collection sheet
Personal Project Budget worksheet
Cost of Living mini project
Personal Budget Project Worksheet
Withholding worksheet
Personal Interest Inventory Results
Career interest survey Results
Digital Budget in a Pie chart
2. Pictures:

3. Tables

Etc.
4. Conference with your teacher or peer group on your design.
Making Your Making Your Making Your Making Your Display Board Display Board Display Board Display Board
You will need to prepare a display board to communicate your work to others. You will
use a standard, three-panel display board that unfolds to be 36" tall by 48" wide that can
be purchased at any office supply store. Your poster should contain the following
information:

Organize your information so that a visitor can easily see your career of choice and the
research you completed to accomplish that goal.
The Day of the Visionary Fair:
Students will display their boards in the atrium. A schedule of viewing will be arranged;
so that classes, parents, judges, and the community can attend the viewing of their
choice.
