Following is a list of different proposed projects for 7
th
semester students. Students are advised
to select a project and contact the concerned supervisor till Monday, 16-Dec-2013. You are also
encouraged to come up with your own ideas and discuss them with the concerned supervisors.
1. Online Work Collaboration System (Mr. Bilal Tariq)
Workgroups can be made and work can be shared and worked on parallel. Using Google Web
Development Kit, and PHP with MySQL, Online Microsoft word, excel and powerpoint editors
can be made to facilitate more.
2. Teachers White Board (Mr. Bilal Tariq)
For teachers a system which creates option for interacting with students. It provides discussion
forum, a direct way to submit assignments to teacher and a document management system that
also provides a mechanism to keep record of all quizzes, assignments, presentation and projects.
Using PHP and MySQL, a online teachers white board can be made for better teaching of
students.
3. School Learning (Mr. Bilal Tariq)
An online system that can be used as a virtual teacher for students from School to College level.
It not only provides learning material as per each province board level but also provides video
tutorials and advance learning courses from other countries. Using PHP and MySQL , a simple
online system can be made that can provide either direct links to class subjects or courses or user
can search their desired courses.
4. Best Route Finder (Mr. Bilal Tariq)
Using Google maps we can develop a system to find best possible routes to any place in
Pakistan. Google provides image data through its javascript code, we can use this code and
develop a system using PHP and MySQL, which can provide either direct links or giving search
options to look for best routes.
5. Education Counselor (Mr. Bilal Tariq)
Students from Matric to PHD level can use this system to finalize and make better decision to
carry on their further education from their desired institution. Using PHP and MySQL, a simple
database system that has data to all the universities, school, colleges and their course held in
them will be in system. A search option will also facilitate more in making good decision.
6. UOG Transportation System (Mr. Bilal Tariq)
By this system, students, faculty and staff will easily find their respective buses and their timings
and also apply for their convenience. In University this system help make decision, how to best
apply the resources and to facilitate more passengers in less time using fewer resources. Using
PHP and MySQL, a database system can be made, in which data from employees and students
can be entered and from the data using Google maps find best possible routes for buses. This
system can be turned to online for facilitating students and employees to apply online for
transportation.
7. Medical Data (Mr. Bilal Tariq)
A complete online medical system that helps us to better understand a medical problem or to find
information regarding any medicine. Using PHP and MySQL, a database with search options can
be made.
8. ComboSoft (Mr.Imran Ashraf)
It is a Windows Explorer with multiple options. Apart from using it to open Computer
drives and folders it will assist in opening other files. Instead of opening files in e.g. PDF, Word
or PowerPoint, it will use its own tools to open the files and provide the necessary tools to edit,
save and update files.
9. Snap Based Class Attendance System (Mr.Imran Ashraf)
It will help teachers to do the attendance by just taking a snap of the class. From the
given snap it will identify students and mark the identified students present
10. Remote PC locator (Mr.Imran Ashraf)
An application that can submit its current location when connected to internet at defined
intervals
11. Voice Changer (Mr.Imran Ashraf)
It is an application which can be used to identify a specific persons voice. It can also
change one persons voice to another one.
12. Mobile Word Processor (Mr.Imran Ashraf)
A Mobile Application that provides the basic functionality of word processor.

13. Picture To Text Converter (Mr.Imran Ashraf)
Take a picture or scan a page and it can convert the file into word file so that you
can perform other editing actions on the file.
14. Balance Teller, Message Teller, Address Book, Call Recorder (Mr.Imran Ashraf)
An application that alerts you about the balance i.e. SMS and call balance. It can intimate
you about important messages using home screen pop ups
15. Dress Designing (Mr.Imran Ashraf)
An application that helps you designing a dress by choosing shapes, colors, decoration
items etc
16. Reference Management tool (Mr.Imran Ashraf)
For scientific writings formatting according to publishers is a hectic task. This application
will help to maintain references and other formatting according to selected format
17. Automatic Question Paper Maker and checker (Mr.Imran Ashraf)
An application that can generate question papers of different subjects according to the
difficulty level specified. It will also generate the key and objective papers can also be checked.

18. Opinion Analyzer: Summarize and Comparing Customers Reviews on Web using
Machine Learning Techniques (Miss. Ayesha Rashid)
A research and development based system use to crawl (extract) customers comments from
websites. Comments could be about online purchased products, politician, video game etc. As
the reviews are in huge volume, the proposed system will summarize the comments according to
strength of opinion using machine learning techniques. The comprehensive Reviews summery
will facilitate the new customer (web visitor) in decision making about product to purse it or not,
to vote the politician or not etc.
19. Inventory Control Management System (Miss. Ayesha Rashid)
An information system use to manage and locate the material and goods of organization. It will
facilitate the companies in order fulfillment process by enlisting all available items and goods in
IS, workers will pick the required items. Remaining quantity, required quantity, out of order
items list, in and outwards items transactions etc will manage by inventory control management
system.

20. Employee Management System (Miss. Ayesha Rashid)
Employees (Faculty and Staff) can be managed properly, their attendance and progress can be
document electronically and using internet SMS alerts and notification can be forwarded to
employees. Using PHP and MySQL, an online employee management system that can be run on
desktop systems can be made and also using Java libraries, SMS system can be made and
implemented.
21. Online Election System (Mr. Wasif)
Voting via the Internet is just one form of electronic voting (e-voting). Generally speaking, e-
voting refers to both the electronic means of casting a vote and the electronic means of tabulating
votes.
22. Tehsil Munciple Office Management System (Mr. Wasif)
Automate the tehsil municipal office, especially different types complaints of people of different
issues
23. Project/Thesis Management System (Mr. Wasif)
The purpose of the Academic Thesis or project Management System is to manage Bachelor and
Master Thesis inside a University. It consists of two parts: candidate and the professor modules.
An additional (independent) module will be the thesis management module
