b) If seats remain vacant after admitting students
with qualifed and valid GATE Score in relevant
branch, then the admission for vacant seats
shall be made on the basis of CET rank / merit
in relevant branch for NON GATE Candidates,
subject to securing of a minimum of 60% marks
in qualifying examination.
c) For sponspored/Weekend Seats: A letter from
employer must be furnished stating that the
candidate is being sponsored to seek admission
in M.Tech. Regular/weekend programme against
sponsored/weekend seats.
d) For sponsored/weekend programme, there will
not be any scholarship even if candidate is GATE
qualifed.

b) For industry sponsored: the merit list will be
prepared on the folowing basis:
1. Merit list of normal seats.
2. One mark each for an additional year of
experience but upto a maximum marks will be 110.
The cutoff date for counting the experience shall be
30.06.2014.
3. Candidate should also have at least one year of
professional experience.
4. A letter from employer must be furnished stating
that the candidate is being sponsored to seek
admission in M.Tech. (TE) Regular programme
against sponsored seats.
148 M.Tech. (Food Processing Technology) A)Eligibility condition:
First Class BE/B.Tech (Food Technology / Chemical
Technology/ Biochemical Engg. / Biotechnology) or
equivalent frst class degree

MS / M.Sc. (Chemistry / Biochemistry / Food Science /

B) Admission Criteria:
a) Merit list on basis of qualifed & valid GATE Score
in relevant branch.
b) If seats remain vacant after admitting students with
qualifed and valid GATE Score in relevant branch,
then the admission for vacant seats shall be made
on the basis of CET rank/ merit in relevant branch
for NON GATE candidates, subject to securing of a
minimum of 60% marks in qualifying examination.
Note : No GATE Scholarships will be available for the
students for this admission session 2014-2016.

150 M.Tech. (Engineering Physics) A) Eligibility Conditions:
BE/B.Tech. (Electronics/Computer Science/Electrical/
Engineering Physics/IT/IC (or) equivalent
OR
Post Graduation in Physics/Applied Physics/
Electronics/Mathematics or equivalent with minimum
of 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree.

B) Admission Criteria:
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of qualifed
and valid GATE score. The next preference in the
merit list will be given to NON GATE candidates based
on rank obtained in the CET, subject to securing
a minimum of 55% of marks in qualifying degree/
exam.
149 M.Tech. (Nano Science &Technology) A) Eligibility Conditions:
M. Sc. (Physi cs/ Appl i ed Physi cs/ El ect roni cs

Life Sciences): BE/B.Tech (Electronics/Computer

Minimum 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree
and Mathematics as one of the subjects at + 2 or
undergraduate level is a must.
* Decision on equivalence taken by the University
will be fnal.
B) Admission Criteria:
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of qualifed
and valid GATE score. The next preference in the
merit list will be given to NON GATE candidates based
on rank obtained in the CET, subject to securing
a minimum of 55% of marks in qualifying degree/
exam.
152 M. Tech. (Chemical Engineering) A) Eligibility Conditions:
B.Tech./B.E. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
degree with 60% marks.
B) Admission Criteria:
After accomodating dual degree students, merit list
will be prepared on the basis of the qualifed and valid
GATE score. If seats remain vacant after admitting
students with qualifed and valid GATE score, then
the admission for the vacant seats will be made on
the basis of rank obtained in the CET for NON-GATE
candidates.

* Admission of the students passing out of GGSIPU: CPI awarded by Unversity to be treated as equivalent
to percentage.
Note:
i) If in case of tie in score, the candidate older in age will be given priority.
ii) The merit list may change subject to verifcation of GATE Score Card and other information from the
original documents/mark sheets at the time of Counselling.
iii) If all seats are flled from GATE candidates for M.Tech. (Regular and Weekend Programme) then there
will be no counselling for NON-GATE candidates.
iv) If the seats remain vacant after admitting students with qualifed GATE score, the admission for those
vacant seats shall be flled on the basis of marks obtained in CET 2014 for M.Tech. (Regular and Weekend
Programmes).

D. B.ARCH. PROGRAMME where NO CET will be held. (CET code-100)
1(A) Eligibility Conditions
Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks and
must have minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics as subject
OR
10+3 years diploma in Architecture recognized by the Central, State Governments
All candidates possssing any of the above qualifcations must also have passed the National
Aptitude Test of Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture.
1(B) Admission Criteria:
Admissions will be made on the basis of NATA Score and the percentage of Aggregate marks i.e.
(percentage will be calculated considering all the subjects) obtained in the qualifying examination,
i.e. Senior secondary level or equivalent.
2. Appearing in NATA Examination conducted by Council of Architecture
(i) Basic Eligibility for NATA
The aspirant should have passed Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) or its equivalent
examination from a recognized University or Board or Institute to apply for this exam.
The aspirants currently appearing for the 10+2 exam are also eligible to attend the exam subject
to some terms and conditions specifed by the authority.
The aspirants should have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination.
The aspirant must have at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination and also in Mathematics
separately.
The aspirant should be physically and mentally ft at the time of exam.

(ii) All candidates are advised to take NATA Examination of the Council of Architecture at their own initiative,
in such a manner so that result of the same is available with the candidate on or before 01.07.2014.
It is once again reiterated that the candidates will have to take the NATA Examination at their own
initiative for which neither University will give any separate intimation nor shall allow any candidate to
take admission in its B.Arch. programme to candidates who do not hold the valid NATA Score.
3. Candidates may note that NATA Score and marks flled at the time of submission of Online Application
shall be considered fnal and no change will be accepted in the NATA score/marks obtained in the
qualifying examination.
4. Merit List : Merit list shall be prepared based on:
(i) Architectural Aptitude (NATA score) : 50%
(ii) Qualifying Examination : 50%
(i.e., 10+2 OR 10+3 years diploma
recognized by the Central / State
Governments)
Notes :
a. In order to pass the Architectural Aptitude Test (NATA) the candidate must obtain a minimum of 40% marks.
b. In the inter-se-merit of candidates securing equal ranks, following criteria will be adopted to determine
the merit:
i) The Candidate getting higher score in NATA;
ii) In case of candidates securing equal scores in NATA, then the candidate getting higher marks
in Maths of the qualifying examination;
iii) In case of tie in (i) and (ii) above, the candidate getting higher marks in qualifying examination;
iv) In case of tie in (i), (ii) and (iii) above, the candidate older in age shall rank higher.
c. CET admit card will be issued by the University to be used as proof of identity of the candidates at
the time of counselling/admission.

Passed the Final Examination of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute
of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England
or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
105 Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Bachelor's Degree of a recognized University in any
MCA (Software Engineering) MCA(SE) discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate and
must also have passed Mathematics and English (core
or elective or functional) at least at the Senior School
Certifcate Examination (Class XII) of the CBSE or any
other Examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
OR
BCA/BIT/BIS of a recognized University of at least three
years duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate or
any qualifcation recognized as equivalent thereto.
OR
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology or a
qualifcation recognized as equivalent thereto with at
least 50% marks in aggregate.
106 Master in Mass Communication (MMC) Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University
with aggregate of 50% marks.
107 MPT (Neurology) Pass in Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme (BPT) of
MPT (Musculoskeletal) 4 years duration (including internship) with 50% marks
MPT (Sports) in aggregate from a recognized University.
MPT (Cardiopulmonary) OR
Pass in Bachelor of Physiotherapy/B.Sc. (Physiotherapy)
of 3 years duration (including internship) with 50%
marks in aggregate and bridge course of one year with
50% marks from a recognized University.
108 MOT (Neurology) Pass in Bachelor of Occupational Therapy programme
(BOT) with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized
University.
109 Master of Prosthetics and Pass in Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics programmes
Orthotics (MPO) (BPO) with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized
University.
110 Master of Public Health (FE) Candidates possessing MBBS degree from any
MPH (FE) recognized institution are eligible to apply for the
course. In-servi ce personnel wi th the above
qualifcation, working in health Institutions/ organisation
in Central/State Govt. or Public Sector having 5 years
experience, of which at least 3 years should be in
Public Health activities are eligible. Such candidates,
at the time of counselling for admission, would need
to furnish a letter from their employer that if they

are admitted, they would be relieved for 2 years for
under taking the course on full time basis at NCDC.
Admission will be done on All India Basis and the
guidelines of Govt. of India, applicable to Central Govt.
Educational Institutions will be followed.

111 M.Sc. (Environment Management) B.Sc. Degree or its equivalent with at least 50% marks
in aggregate.
OR
B.Sc.(Engg.), B.Tech. or B.E. in Civil/Chemical/
Agricultural Engg Degree with at least 50% marks in
aggregate.
112 Master of Law (LL.M) LL.B. Degree as required by the Bar Council of India for
enrolment as an advocate or an equivalent law degree
from a foreign university, in either case with not less than
50% marks.

examination is not declared by the concerned Board/University till the date of counselling/admission,
his/her admission in that case will be provisional subject to the following conditions.
(i) Affdavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- in the prescribed Proforma (please see relevant
Appendix in Part -E ). Further, in case the candidate is minor i.e. below 18 years of age; in that case,
the affdavit shall be signed by his/her parent/guardian. Candidates/parents/guardians may further
note that submission of false affdavit is a punishable offence;
(ii) The candidate will have to submit the fnal result of qualifying degree proving his/her eligibility on or
before 30

Dean/Principal/Director must submit the details of the results of these provisionally admitted students

(c) It is further clarifed that provisional admission will be considered only in such cases where the result of
Final year/semester of the qualifying degree has not been declared by the concerned Board/University
in its totality. In case the result has been declared by the concerned Board/University but it has not been
declared in a specifc case, for any reason, such cases will NOT be considered under provisional
admission category.
(d) Provisionally admitted candidates will have a suffx () to the enrollment number printed on their admission
slip. Provisionally admitted candidates are advised to check it on receipt of Admission Slip in addition
to the other details.
3. There will be no rounding-off of the percentage of marks of qualifying examination while
deciding the basic eligibility of any candidate for admission for e.g. if a candidate obtained
49.9% marks in his/her qualifying examination, then it will not be rounded-off to 50%. Therefore,
the candidate is not eligible for that programme where minimum requirement of marks is 50%.
In case candidate for any reason flls the minimum% wrongly in Verifcation Form, he/she shall
be exclusively responsible.
4. The eligibility in the LLB programme will be strictly laid down by Bar Council of India. As per Bar
Council of India letter No. LE Cir.: 02/2010 dated 20.12.2010, it is stated that The applicants who
have obtained 10+2 or graduation/post graduation through Open Universities system directly
without having any basic qualifcation for prosecuting such students are not eligible for admission
in the law courses. Ref.: BCI Letter No. BCI:D:1823/2010 (LE) dated 31.11.2010.

II Physical Fitness
The applicant must be in good mental and physical health and should be free from any physical defect which
is likely to interfere with his/her studies including active outdoor duties required of a professional. Accordingly,
all the students shall be required to submit a Medical Certifcate indicating ftness from a Registered Medical
Practitioner as per format given in (please see relevant Appendix in Part -E).

IV. Age Relaxation
The upper age limit may be relaxed upto a maximum of fve years in exceptional cases by the Admission
Offcer of the concerned programme if he/she is satisfed with the merit of the case. Candidates exceeding
the upper age limit upto fve years may provisionally apply/ appear in the Common Entrance Test. However,
they would be required to submit to the satisfaction of the Admission Offcer an explanation regarding the
gap period, i.e., the details of the period spent by him/her after passing the qualifying examination to justify
the relaxation. Such explanation should be in the form of an application to the concerned Admission Offcer
along with supporting documents (if any). Any relaxation of age beyond this will be given by the Competent
Authority of the University.
V. Relaxation in the Requirement of Marks for Reserved Category Candidates.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/
Physically Handicapped will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement,
irrespective of the fact whether there exists any reservation for any category of such candidates or not.
Note : Relaxation of any kind, as mentioned above and elsewhere in this Admission Brochure, will be granted
to only those candidates,who are able to produce necessary relevant supporting documents as per the Admission
Brochure before the Admission Offcer present at the Venue of the Counselling /Admission. Therefore, for seeking

A. MBBS & BDS PROGRAMMES
1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1.1 NATIONALITY

1.3 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
1.3.1 MBBS
Candidate should have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/Senior School Certifcate
Examination or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent examination of the recognised University/
Board of any Indian State with PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY and ENGLISH (Core or Elective or
Functional).
To claim seat under MBBS programme at NDMC for the academic session 2014-15, the candidate
must have studied 11

1.3.2. BDS
Candidate, who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system conducted by the C.B.S.E./
Council of the Indian School Certifcate Examination/Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi with required
subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from the recognized schools conducting regular
classes situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi only, will be eligible for admission for
BDS Programme.
To claim seat under BDS programme for the academic session 2014-15, the candidate must
have studied 11
th
and 12
th
classes regularly from a recognized school within the National Capital
Territory of Delhi.
1.4. MINIMUM AGGREGATE (MBBS & BDS)
Candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core or Elective or
Functional) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology (40% in case of SC/ST candidates, subject to availability of seat for these categories in the
respective institutions).
Notes:
(a) All those candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry,
Biology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) and expect to pass the examination with required
percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the CET: MBBS & BDS2014. However,
their candidature will be considered only if they are able to produce documentary evidence of
having passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks
at the time of counselling for admission.
(b) It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they posses the requisite eligbility and
qualifcations for admission. Appearing for the written examination does not necessarily mean acceptance
of eligibility.
(c) There will be no rounding-off of the percentage of marks of qualifying examination while deciding the basic
eligibility of any candidate for admission e.g. if a candidate obtained 49.9% marks in his/her qualifying
examination, then it will not be rounded-off to 50%. Therefore, the candidate is not eligible for that programme
where minimum requirement of marks is 50%. In case candidate for any reason flls the minimum% wrongly
in verifcation form, he/she shall be exclusively responsible.
(d) The cases of candidates who have qualifed CET 2014, but have Compartment/Supplementary
in any paper of the qualifying examination degree at any stages, will be considered by the
Admission Offcer as per University policy and accordingly he shall take fnal decision regarding
grant of admission to such candidates during academic session 2014-15 as per University policy
given below:
(i) Compartment/Supplementary cases at any stage who have appeared for examination(s)
and the result of the same is/are not declared by the time of counselling/admission,such
candidates will not be considered for admission for the academic session 2014-15.
(ii) In case the result of the Compartment/Supplementary examination(s) is/are declared by the
time of admission/counselling and the candidate fulflls the eligibility conditions as mentioned
above, then such candidates would be eligibile for the admission for the academic session
2014-15.
2. SELECTION PROCEDURE
2.1 CRITERIA FOR QUALIFYING CET : MBBS 2014
Based on the result of Common Entrance Test : CET Code 103 (Stage-II) [CET : MBBS - 2014],
separate merit lists will be prepared for each category. As per the Medical Council of India Guidelines,
the candidates for admission must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of competitive
Common Entrance Test : CET Code 103 [CET : MBBS - 2014] (Stage-II) by securing not less than
50% marks for General Category Candidates and 40% in case of SC/ST Category Candidates, subject
to availabiity of seats for these categories in respective institutions. Accordingly, names of only those
candidates who secure 50% or more marks (40% or more in case of SC / ST candidates) in the
Common Entrance Test : CODE 103 [CET : MBBS-2014 (Stage-II)] will be included in the merit lists.

2.2 CRITERIA FOR QUALIFYING CET : BDS - 2014
Based on the result of Common Entrance Test:CET Code 104 [CET : BDS - 2014], merit list will be
prepared for each category. As per the Dental/Medical Council of India Guidelines, the candidates for
admission must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of competitive Common Entrance
Test : CET Code 104 [CET : BDS - 2014] by securing not less than 50% marks for General category
Candidates and 40% in case of SC/ST Category Candidates. Accordingly, names of only those candidates
who secure 50% or more marks (40% or more in case of SC / ST candidates) in the Common Entrance
Test: CET Code 104 [CET: BDS - 2014] will be included in the merit lists.
2.3 ALLOTMENT OF SEATS
All seats will be feld up on the basis of the merit of MBBS as well as BDS CET-2014.
2.4 INTER-SE MERIT
For MBBS
In the case of a tie i.e. the candidates obtaining equal marks in the Common Entrance Test, the INTER-
SE merit will be decided on their performance in the Common Entrance Test: CET Code 103 (Stage-II
only) by frst eliminating the marks secured in the Physics portion of the CET, and if there is still a
tie then by eliminating the marks secured in the Chemistry portion of the CET and if there is still a
tie then by eliminating the marks secured in the biology portion of the CET. If a tie still exists, the
candidate older in age will be preferred.
For BDS
In the case of a tie i.e. the candidates obtaining equal marks in the Common Entrance Test, the INTER-
SE merit will be decided on their performance in the Common Entrance Test: CET Code 104 by frst
eliminating the marks secured in the Physics portion of the CET, and if there is still a tie then by
eliminating the marks secured in the Chemistry portion of the CET and if there is still a tie then by
eliminating the marks secured in the biology portion of the CET. If a tie still exists, the candidate older
in age will be preferred.
3. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO ACMS FOR ARMY CATEGORY
The admission to the ACMS is for the childeren of eligible serving Army personnel, Ex Army personnel
and war widows/widows of the Army. The children of following categories of Army personnel are eligible
and they are required to submit the relevant certifcate as given against the category applicable to them
as proof of their eligibility for admission to ACMS at time of Counseling/Admission:
(a) The applicants must fall into one of the following categories (Submit Certifcate No 1 given
as relevant Appendix in Part -E):
(i) Children of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years continuous service in the Army.
(ii) Children of Ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, family pension, liberalized
family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge or Release/
Invalidment Medical Board. This includes children of recruits medically boaded out and granted disability
pension.
(iii) Children of Ex-Army personnel who have taken discharge or been released aftert ten years
of service.
(b) Adopted/step children and children of remarried widows (Submit Certifcate No 2 given as
relevant Appendix in Part -E):
(i) Adopted Children of Army personnel if adopted at least fve years prior to seeking admission.
(ii) Step children are eligible, provided they are born from a wedding where at least one parent
belonged to the Army and who is otherwise eligible.
(c) Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases (Submit Certifcate No 3 given as relevant Appendix in
Part -E):
(i) Children of Army Medical/Dental Corps Offcers presently serving with Navy or Air Force who
have served in the Army for at least 10 years.
(ii) Children of APS personnel classifed as Ex-serviceman as per Govt. of India, Ministry of
Defense, letter No 9 (52)/88/D(Res) dated 19 Jul 89.

(iii) Children of APS personnel who are on deputation and who have put in 10 years of service
in the Army.
(iv) Children of APS personnel who are directly recruited into APS & competed 10 years of
service and who as per their terms and conditions of service, retired from APS without reversion to
P&T Department after completing their minimum pensionable service of which 10 years was in the
Army.
(v) Children of members of MNS who have 10 years service as regular members of MNS or are
in receipt of pension from the Army.
(vi) Children of TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.
Important instruction for Candidates seeking admission in ACMS:
(a) It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they posses the requisite qualifcations
for admission. However, having been called for written test or counselling does not necessarily mean
acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by the ACMS at the time of
Counseling and also later during the scrutiny of documents by the University. If a candidate is found
to be ineligible at any time before or after the commencement of course, the College reserves the right
to cancel his/her candidature without any refund of the fees/charges paid.
(b) Additional Documents required to be produced in Original alongwith a photocopy at the time of
Counseling/Admission to ACMS:
(i) Proof of eligible category as per Para 3.1 (Submit Certifcate as Applicable).
(ii) Original & Photocopy of PPO, Service Record/Discharge Book, Identity Card/Serving Certifcate
and Dependant Card.
(iii) Willingness Certifcate (Certifcate No 4 given as relevant Appendix in Part -E).
(c) Children of Air Force, Navy and Paramilitary forces like CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, Assam
Riffes, GREF and DSC are not eligible for the admission in ACMS.
B. POST GRADUATE MEDICAL COURSES COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (PGMC)
(CET CODE-102)
1. NATIONALITY:
Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Non-Resident Indians and Foreign Nationals are not eligible.
2. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
2.1 Every candidate selected for admission to PGMC shall possess MBBS degree from a medical
college affliated to GGSIPU and must have completed one year compulsory rotatory internship on or
before 31
st
March, 2014. The candidate should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical
Council of India or any of the State Medical Council or should obtain so within one month of admission.
2.2. The candidate must have obtained 600 marks out of 1200, i.e., 50% marks in the Post Graduate
Medical Common Entrance Test in case of general category and 40% marks in case of candidates
belonging to SC and ST category, i.e., they are required to obtain 480 marks out of 1200.
2.3 The candidates should be medically ft to pursue the allocated course on Medical Examination.
The selected candidate will be required to undergo Medical Examination by duly constituted medical
board at the assigned institution. The candidate shall not be allowed to join the course, if he/she is
found medically unft for the course.
2.4. The in-service candidates should submit their applications through proper channel or attach a
No Objection Certifcate (NOC) from their employer to the effect that they have no objection and the
candidates will be relieved/granted study leave for pursuing the course and the certifcate should be
available at the time of Counselling. In case the candidate is unable to submit the application through
proper channel or attach NOC at the time of submitting the application, he must produce the same
at the time of counselling failing which he /she will not be eligible for the counselling.
2.5. After declaration of result of Post-Graduate Medical Entrance Test (CETCode:102), a candidate
who is in service and who is likely to get admission, should initiate the process of obtaining Study
Leave/getting relieved so that he/she is able to join the course concerned by the stipulated date.

2.6. No candidate shall be allowed to join a course unless he/she has been relieved/sanctioned
study leave from his/her employer.
2.7 Candidates who are already admitted to any Post Graduate Medical Degree/Diploma
Course in any University/Institution as on the date of counselling will not be eligible for
admission. Candidate will be required to give an undertaking/ Declaration in the proforma as per
relevant Appendix in Part -E. Candidates who have taken admission in any Post Graduate Medical
Degree Course through Common Entrance Test conducted by this University during the academic
session 2012-13 or 2013-14 and subsequently resigned from the course concerned are not eligible.
2.8. Candidate, who has passed a Post-Graduate Degree course, will not be given admission to
Diploma Course in the same subject.
2.9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Post-Graduate Admission Committee shall be fnal.
However, an appeal could be made to the Vice-Chancellor, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
against such a decision.
3. SELECTION PROCEDURE
3.1 In respect of criteria for qualifying CET: PGMC 2014 separate merit list will be
prepared for each category based on the resul t of Common Entrance Test: CET
Code : 102. The admissions would be made strictly on the basis of this merit of the eligible candidates
determined by marks obtained in the CET:PGMC 2014.
3.2 In case where two or more candidates obtain equal marks in CET: PGMC 2014, the inter-se merit
of such candidates will be determined in order of preference as mentioned below:
3.2.1 The candidate, who has secured higher aggregate of marks after taking into consideration marks
secured in the three professional examinations of M.B.B.S. course in the frst/ less number of
attempts will be given preference for admission.
3.2.2 If such candidates also have equal marks in M.B.B.S. course (after taking into consideration
marks secured in the three professional examinations), then the candidate older / oldest in age
will rank higher in merit for admission.
C. SUPER SPECIALITY MEDICAL COURSES (SSMC)
1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. NATIONALITY
Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Non-Resident Indians and Foreign Nationals are not eligible.
2. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
2.1 The candidate must have passed fnal MBBS examination and must have completed satisfactorily
one year compulsory rotating internship.
2.2 The candidate must have full registration with the Delhi Medical Council/State Medical Council/
Medical Council of India.
2.3 The candidate must have passed the Post graduate (MD/MS/DNB) examination, as per
details mentioned in para 3 of this Chapter, before the of date of commensement of frst counselling.
(*The candidate holding Diplomate of National Board of Examination will be eligible for admission to
Super Specialty Courses, provided they have done thesis work. Evidence of thesis shall be produced
by the candidate.
2.4 The candidate should be medically ft to pursue the allocated course on medical examination.
2.5 The in-service candidates should submit their applications through proper channel or attach
a No Objection Certifcate (NOC) from their employer to the effect that they have no objection and
the candidates will be relieved/granted study leave for pursuing the course and the certifcate should
be available at the time of Counselling. In case the candidate is unable to submit the application

of such candidates will be determined in order of preference as mentioned below:
3.2.1 The candidate who has passed the qualifying examination (MD/MS/DNB) in the frst/ less number
of attempts will be given preference for admission.
3.2.2 The eligible candidates will be required to report at the University on the date and time
of the Counselling in person and should mark the attendance. The allotment of seats
shall be made only for those candidates who attend the Counselling sessions in person.
Under no circumstances a seat will be allotted to any candidate who fails to appear in
the Counselling in person.
3.2.3 If the candidate in the tie of marks has passed the qualifying examination (MD/MS/DNB) in the
same number of attempts, then the candidate who has got more aggregate marks (taking into
consideration marks of all the three professional examinations of MBBS course together) in the
frst/ less number of attempts will be given preference for admission.
3.2.4 If the candidates have equal marks in MBBS also, after taking into consideration marks of all the

All the candidates who are keen to seek admission to MBBS programme for the Academic Session 2014-15
must appear in the Common Entrance Test : CET Code 103 (2014), which will be conducted by the Guru
Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector-16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078. There will be two stages
of the Common Entrance Test. Only qualifed candidates of Stage I will be allowed to appear in Stage II
Entrance Test of MBBS.

However, depending upon the number of candidates at any station, the fnal venue of the CET : MBBS
- 2014 (Stage I) will be communicated to the candidates through Admit Cards. MBBS (Stage II) test
will be held only at Delhi. In case of any query, candidate may contact on 011-25302287.
The candidates are also advised to indicate in the Application Form their two preferred choices in
respect to the places in order of his/her preference. The choices indicated by the candidates shall
however, be considered as their 'preferred choices'. The actual centre code will be allotted by the
University and the same shall be considered as fnal. Neither any change in the preferences already
indicated by the candidate shall be allowed by the University nor any correspondence in this regard
will be entertained under any circumstances.
2 SCHEDULE FOR BDS (CET CODE 104)
All the candidates who are keen to seek admission to BDS programme for the Academic Session

for Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) shall be as specifed by CBSE for class
11th and 12th under 10+2 scheme for students passing class 12th in the year 2014.
B. POST GRADUATE MEDICAL COURSES (PGMC)

1.1 All candidates seeking admission to Post Graduate Medical Degree/Diploma courses of the University

(iv) The choices indicated by the candidates in respect to the Centres of Entrance Examination shall
only be considered as their preferred choices. The actual Centre Code will be allotted by the University
and the same shall be considered as fnal. Neither any change in the preferences already indicated by
the candi date shal l be al l owed by the Uni versi ty nor any correspondence i n thi s regard wi l l
be entertained under any circumstances. The University may drop any of the above mentioned centres
if sufficient number of candidates are not available or for any other reason deemed appropriate to
drop the centre.
(v) In case University decides to drop both the preferences of centres given by the candidate then, in
such circumstances, 'Delhi' centre will be allotted.
Note:
(i) A Separate Application Form has to be flled-in for each programme (s) having distinct CET / Programme Code.
(ii) No separate intimation will be sent to the candidates regarding declaration of results and commencement of counselling/
admission. Result will be declared on University Website (www.ipu.ac.in). Detailed schedule of frst counselling/admissions
will be notifed prior to commencement of respective counselling, on the University Website (www.ipu.ac.in). Tentative dates of
commencement of frst and second counselling, are given in Part C: Chapter I. The dates for counselling as given in Part C:
Chapter I may be deferred if the sanctioned intake for the respective programme is not received by the University in time.
(iii) The University will declare and display the ranks of only those candidates who are declared as qualifed in the CET-2014. The
candidates will be called for counselling/admission depending upon the number of seats available in each programme. The
admissions will be made only out of these qualifed candidates strictly in order of inter-se-merit. The rank of candidates who do
not qualify in CET-2014 will not be declared.

SUBMISSION OF CET APPLICATION FORM
1. All the candidates will submit application
forms only through online. For the convenience
of the applicants as well as of their parents/
guardians, the University is also providing the
facility of On-Line Submission of Application
Form for CET-2014. The application form along
with the Common Entrance Test Fee of Rs.750/-
05 Feb,2014 onwards.The Admit Cards will,
however, be sent only by e-mail. The same can
be downloaded by using candidates log-in ID
and password.

CET Code within the last date as mentioned in table below up to 5 p.m. along with the eligibility
documents, if applicable.
2. The applicant has to fll the relevant enclosure given in Part E along with the CET application
form.
3 Attested copy of degree certifcate and marks-sheet of the qualifying examination clearly showing
the marks obtained by the candidate in the degree. (Wherever grades/CPI/CGPA etc are awarded,
attach a sheet showing the calculation of overall percentage). CPI awarded by GGSIP University
to be treated as equivalent to percentage.
4 Result of qualifying examination.
5 Photocopy of documents showing working experience upto the cut-off date.
6. Proof of Date of Birth certifcate.
7. Photocopy of certifcates for claiming admission under reserved category.
8. Write the complete address by giving your name and PIN code carefully and legibly. Please note
that this address will be used by the University for all the correspondence in future. Therefore,
it should be very clearly written with black ball point pen only. The address should be properly
flled up in the prescribed boxes and should not overfow. The University will not be responsible
for any loss in transit or for incorrect address given by the applicant in the Application Form. No
request for change of address will be entertained till the admission is fnalized.
9. In addition to the above mentioned details, mobile number, contact number of the residence and
e-mail id must be provided in the CET application form along with the relevant enclosure given
in Part E.

Notes:
1. The applicants are advised to retain a print out of the duly flled-in CET Application Form.
2. The failure to submit any of the relevant enclosure given in appendix 16 and eligibility documents
may result in rejection of the CET application form.
3. The applicants are advised to submit the CET application form with the relevant enclosure given in
appendix 16 and eligibility documents as per the Admission Brochure before the last date for
submission of application form.
4 After the last date is over, CET Application Form sent through Registered/Speed Post/Courier or
by any other means will not be accepted, irrespective of the fact when the form was despatched/
posted. Therefore, candidates are advised to submit their CET Applications Form along with
relevant enclosure given in appendix 16 and eligible documents at the earliest to the Controller

Note: It is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission in Weekend and Post Graduate Diploma
Programmes to submit online applications and further take the printout of the application and send it in
a sealed envelope along with relevant enclosures given in Part E of the Admission Brochure to the
concerned University Schools/Offce within the specifed period. The applications of the students will not
be treated as complete and further the students will not be eligible for admission if the applications do not

SUBMISSION OF CET APPLICATION FORM
1. All the applicants are advised to retain a print out of the duly flled-in Application Form.
2. Display of Information on the University's Website regarding receipt of Application Forms for Common
Entrance Test 2014.
(i) On 19.04.2014 at 5.00 p.m. the details of Application Forms received by the Offce of the
Controller of Examinations (Operations) upto the last date i.e. 10.04.2014 will be displayed
on the University Website (www.ipu.ac.in). The candidates are advised to check their status
with the help of Application Form number.
(ii) In case any candidate, who has submitted the application form online does not fnd his/her application
form number on the University's Website, then he/she is advised to contact the Offce of Controller of
Examinations (Operations), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, immediately (but
not later than 24.04.2014) alongwith the relevant particulars (printout of the duly flled-in CET
Application Form). In case of any query, candidate may contact on 011-25302287.
3. Write the complete e-mail address carefully. Please note that this e-mail address will be used by the
University for delivery of Admit Card. The address should be properly flled up in the prescribed boxes.
The University will not be responsible for any non receipt of Admit Card for incorrect e-mail address
given by the applicant in the application form.

& POST GRADUATE MEDICAL PROGRAMMES
1. The Admit Card will be made available online,
7 days before the actual commencement of
the CET. The Admit Card will also be sent to
the candidates e-mail addresses provided by
the candidate at the time of flling up of the
online Application Forms. The same may also
be downloaded from the candidates individual
account proving log-in ID and password.
2. No candidate will be allowed to enter the Exa-
mination Hall without the valid 'CET Admit Card
2014, issued by the University.
3. Candidate must preserve the CET Admit
Card till the admission procedure is over as
it has to be handed over to the Admission
Offcer at the time of counselling/admission.
4. Request for issue of duplicate Admit Card
will not be entertained after the Common
Entrance Test (under any circumstances).
5. No claim of having flled up the Application
Form and non-receipt of admit card will be
admissible after the CET.
6. Impersonation is a punishable offence. No
candidate will be permitted to appear in
CET without the Admit Card. The admit card
should be presented to the invigilator(s)
for verifcation. The candidate's identity will
be verifed in respect of his/her details on
the admit card/centre verifcation record.
If the identity is doubtful, the candidate
may not be allowed to appear in the
examination. The authorities may permit the
candidates to appear for the examination
after completing the necessary formalities
(visible mark of identifcation) at their
discretion. No extra time will be allowed for
these formalities to be completed. Police
action will be initiated in case of dubious
identity.
7. MBBS Stage II : New CET admit card will
be used for MBBS (Stage-II) examination.
8. In case of non receipt of Admit Card the
candidate may contact Offce of Controller
of Examinations(Operations) at GGSIP
University, Sector 16C , Dwarka, New Delhi
110078 at least 5 days before the scheduled
commencement of CET 2014.

MODE OF THE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST

A. Pr of essi onal and Engi neer i ng
Programmes
1. Scheme of the Test
(i) The test paper will contain 150 objective-type
questions in all. Each question will be provided
with four alternative answers marked as (1),
(2), (3) and (4). Out of these, only one correct
or most appropriate answer should be selected
and marked on the OMR answer sheet;
(ii) Each question shall carry four marks;
(iii) There will be negative marking for incorrect
answers. One mark will be deducted for each
incorrect answer;
(iv) The Written Test will be of two and a half hours
duration and will carry 600 marks;
(v) The medium of the tests will be English only;
(vi) Candidates should bring a black ball point
pen to the Examination Hall for writing/marking
responses (darkening the ovals) on OMR
answer sheet. Use of pencil is not allowed;
(vii) No requests for re-checking, re-evaluation, re-
assessment or scrutiny of OMR answer sheet
will be entertained;
(viii) For those who are unable to appear in the
test on the scheduled date for any reason,
retest will not be held by the University
under any circumstances. No refund of fee
is permissible;
2. Reporting for the Test
(i) The Candidate should report at the Examination
Centre 30 minutes prior to the time of the
commencement of CET-2014.
(ii) No candidate will be allowed to enter in the
Examination Hall after the commencement
of CET;
(iii) No candidate will be allowed to leave the
examination hall before the prescribed time for
CET is over;
(iv) Candidate should leave Examination Hall only
after handing over OMR answer sheet & test
booklet to the Invigilator;
3. Expected Behaviour and Discipline
during the Test
(i) If any candidate is found using any UNFAIR
MEANS or does not observe discipline during
conduct of the Common Entrance Test, the
University will take necessary disciplinary
action against such candidate(s) as per its
rules;
(ii) No candidate should carry any textual material,
printed or written, bits of papers or any other
material except the Admit Card (without
envelope) inside the Examination Hall. If the
candidate is found to be copying or conversing
with other candidate(s) or having in his/
her possession papers, notes or books/any
electronic material with or without relevant text,
he/she will be disqualifed from taking the Test
and the next one or two such Tests depending
on the nature of offence;
(iii) Carrying of cell phone, pager, calculator
or any other electronic gadgets to the
Examination Centre is strictly prohibited.
The University will neither make any
arrangement for the safe custody of any of
these items nor will be responsible for loss
of any such item. Hence, the parents may
counsel their wards for not carrying such
items with them while going to respective
examination centres for taking the CET.
(iv) Candidates must not obtain or give or attempt
to obtain or to give irregular assistance of any
kind during the Test, as it will entail expulsion
and cancellation of candidature for the Test;
(v) Any attempt to note down questions during
the Test or to take away pages from the Test
Booklet will be viewed very seriously, and invite
legal action;
(vi) Candidate shall maintain perfect silence and
attend to their papers only. Any conversation,
gesticulation or causing disturbance during the
Test will be deemed to be an act of misbehavior
and is, therefore, strictly prohibited. Also, if
a candidate is found impersonating or using
unfair means, he/she will be disqualifed from
taking the Test and the next one or two such
Tests depending on the nature of offence.

4. Detailed instructions to be followed in the
examination hall are given in Part -E: Appendix
:1. Specimen copy of the OMR answer
sheet to be used for the Test, is given in
Part -E: Appendix :2 for all Professional,
Engineering, MBBS & BDS and Appendix :3
for PGMC & SSMC programmes.
5. Procedure for preparing Merit List of
CET
The inter-se-merit of candidates securing equal
aggregate marks in Common Entrance Test will be
determined according to the following criteria :
(a) For B.Tech. / M.Tech. (Dual Degree) (IT, CSE,
ECE, CT & BCE), B.Tech (IT, CSE, ECE, MAE,
PE, ENE, TE, CVE, ICE, EEE, EE, ME, MET)
programmes:
(i) The candidates getting higher marks in Maths
in CET shall rank higher;
(ii) In case of candidates securing equal marks
in the aggregate of PCM as well as in Maths
separately in CET, then the candidate getting
higher marks in Physics shall rank higher;
(iii) In case of tie in (i) and (ii) above, the candidate
older in age shall rank higher.
(b) For B.Tech. / M.Tech. (Dual Degree) Bio-
Technology programme :
(i) The candidates getting higher marks in Biology
/Bio-Technology in CET shall rank higher;
(ii) In case of candidates securing equal marks in
the aggregate of PCB/PC-Bio-Technology as
well as in Biology/Bio-Technology separately in
CET, then the candidate getting higher marks in
Chemistry shall rank higher;
(iii) In case of tie in (i) and (ii) above, the candidate
older in age shall rank higher.
(c) For M.Tech. programme :
The procedure for preparing MERIT list is given
in Chapter 2 of this part.
Note: If it is found at the time of counselling that after
considering the above, there is still tie for merit,
then marks in the qualifying examination shall
be considered for determining the rank. If marks
of qualifying examination are not available or
happen to be equal, then marks obtained by the
candidate in public examination passed prior to
the qualifying examination shall be considered
to decide inter-se-merit.
(d) For Master of Science (Environment
Management) Programme:
(i) The candi dates getti ng hi gher marks i n
Environment Science shall rank higher;
(ii) In case of candidates securing equal marks
in the aggregate as well as in Environment
Science separately in CET, then the candidate
getting higher marks in Chemistry shall rank
higher;
(iii) In case of tie in (i) and (ii) above, the candidate
older in age shall rank higher.
(e) For Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT),
Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO),
BAMS, BHMS, BASLP, B.Sc.(MLT) and B.Sc
(Hons.) Nursing:
(i) The candidates getting higher marks in Biology
shall rank higher;
(ii) In case of candidates securing equal marks in
the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology
as well as in Biology separately in CET, then the
candidate getting higher marks in Chemistry
shall rank higher;
(iii) In case of tie in (i) and (ii) above, the candidate
older in age shall rank higher.
(f) For all other programmes, except as
mentioned above from (a) to (e), the candidate
older in age shall rank higher.
Note:For all the above programmes, if it is found
that after considering all the above criterion,
there is still tie for merit, then marks in the
qualifying examination shall be considered
for determining the rank. If marks of qualifying
examination are not available or are equal, then
the marks obtained by the candidate in public
examination passed prior to the qualifying
examination shall be considered to decide
inter-se-merit.
(g) For Programmes, where no CET will be held,
admission and selection procedure will be
followed as per details given in chapter 2
of this part.
B. MEDICAL/POST GRADUATE MEDICAL
PROGRAMMES
1. SCHEME of CET for MBBS & BDS:
i) CET code 103 for MBBS (both stages I & II)
and CET code 104 for BDS will be of 3 hours
duration and will have One Question Paper in
English medium. This Question Paper shall have
200 objective type (multiple choice) questions
from Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology. Each
question will be provided with four alternative
answers marked as (1), (2), (3) and (4). Out of
these, only one correct or most appropriate answer
should be selected and marked on the OMR answer
sheet. Each question shall carry 3 marks, which
shall be awarded for each correct answer.
ii) There will be negative marking for incorrect
answers. Incorrect answers will include both the

'wrong answers' as well as 'more than one answer to a question'. 1 mark will be deducted for
each incorrect answer.
iii) Candidates should bring a black ball point pen to the Examination Hall for writing/marking responses
(darkening the ovals) on OMR answer sheet. Use of pencil is not allowed.
iv) No requests for re-checking, re-evaluation, re-assessment or scrutiny of OMR answer sheet will
be entertained.
v) For those who are unable to appear in the test on the scheduled date for any reason, retest will
not be held by the University under any circumstances. No refund of fee is permissible.
2. SCHEME of CET for POST GRADUATE MEDICAL COURSES (PGMC)
2.1 The Entrance Test shall cover all subjects of MBBS course and will comprise of one Paper of 3
hours duration. This paper shall carry 300 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 4 marks each, divided
in two sections viz. I & II. The subjects covered under these Sections are detailed below:-
Section-I Pre & Para-Clinical subjects, i.e., Pathology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine,
Medical Microbiology, Medical Bio-Chemistry and Anatomy.
Section-II Clinical Subjects, i.e., General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Paediatrics, Anesthesiology,
Dermatology including Venereology & Leprosy, Radio-Diagnosis, Radio-Therapy, Community
Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Psychiatry, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology
and Otorhinolaryngology.
2.1.1 Section-I will be of one hour duration and will carry 100 MCQs allocated 400 marks and
Section-II will be of two hours duration and will carry 200 MCQs allocated 800 marks respectively.
Note: Students will be required to distribute their time of 3 hours duration for the two sections in such
a way that they are able to fnish Section - I within 1 hour and Section - II in the next 2 hours.
2.1.2 Every question shall have four alternative answers, and out of these only one correct or most
appropriate answer should be selected and marked on the OMR answer sheet provided with each
paper.
2.1.3 There will be negative marking for every incorrect answer. Incorrect answers will include Wrong
answers' as well as "those which contain more than one answer to the question." For each incorrect
answer 1 mark will be deducted.
2.2 Candidates are required to bring a black ball point pen to the Examination Hall for marking their responses
by darkening the ovals on OMR answer sheet. Use of pencil is strictly prohibited.
2.3. The University will not entertain any request for re-checking, re-evaluation, re-assessment or scrutiny of OMR
answer sheet.
2.4. For those who are unable to appear in the CET:PGMC 2014 on the scheduled date for any
reason, re-test will not be held by the University under any circumstances and the fee deposited for
such test shall not be refunded.
2.5. Candidates are advised to follow the instructions mentioned in Part -E: Appendix -22 while appearing
for CET:PGMC 2014.
3. SCHEME of CET for SUPER SPECIALTY MEDICAL COURSES (SSMC)
3.1 The Entrance Test shall cover subjects of respective super specialty course and will comprise of one paper
of 1hours duration. This paper shall carry 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ's) of 4 (four) marks each.
The Test for each super specialty will carry a maximum marks of 400.
3.1.1 Every question shall have four alternative answers, and out of these only one correct or most
appropriate answer should be selected and marked on the OMR answer sheet provided alongwith
Test paper.
3.1.2 Incorrect answer will be given zero marks and correct answer will be allotted 4 marks. Incorrect
answers will include wrong answers as well as those containing more than one answer to the question.
3.2 Candidates are required to bring a black ball point pen to the Examination Hall for marking their
responses by darkening the ovals on OMR answer sheet. Use of pencil is strictly prohibited.
3.3 The University will not entertain any request for re-checking, re-evaluation, re-assessment or

3.4 For those who are unable to appear in the CET: SSMC- 2014 on the scheduled date for any
reason, re-test will not be held by the University under any circumstances and the fee deposited for

SSMC-2014.
