I% you are unable to open the installer @be'ause it is %rom an unidenti>ed de)eloper@ please right='li'$ 6or
CtrlA'li'$7 the >le and sele't @(pen@ %rom the popup menu! *his "ill allo" you to run the installer!
/lease %ollo" on=s'reen instru'tions! .ote/er%ormer must be installed on your main dri)e, so there are
no settings or 'hoi'es to be made during installation!
.ote/er%ormer is installed only %or )ersions o% Sibelius that are already present on your 'omputer! So i%
you add another )ersion o% Sibelius in the %uture, you must run the .ote/er%ormer installer again!
I% you ha)e re'ently installed any )ersion o% Sibelius, you must open that Sibelius so%t"are at least on'e

In Sibelius 1, open any s'ore and go to the @/lay@ tab on the ribbon! *he >rst item on this panel 6all the

Cli'$ the @Con>guration@ i'on! Bou "ill be as$ed to sele't "hat /layba'$ Con>guration to use! I% all has
gone "ell "ith the .ote/er%ormer installation, you should see an option named @.ote/er%ormer@!
Sele't the @.ote/er%ormer@ /layba'$ Con>guration, "ait %or the library to load, and you are good to go!

&a$e sure your mi;er le)els in Sibelius are reset! (pen the mi;er in Sibelius, and double='li'$ all the
)olume sliders, one=by=one, to reset them to a 'ommon )alue o% 3-!
When 'reating a ne" s'ore in Sibelius, the mi;er le)els are al"ays s'rambled! *his is be'ause the
instrument de>nitions in Sibelius do not spe'i%y the same de%ault )olume! So "e re'ommend doing this
e)ery time you begin a ne" s'ore!
With .ote/er%ormer you should use the same )olume %or all instruments in the mi;er, as a starting point!
*ypi'al de%ault instrument )olumes in Sibelius 1! ?ouble='li'$ all sliders to reset to 3-!

Bou may be able to sol)e problems "ith stuttering
audio simply by in'reasing your audio bu%%er siLe,
%ound underAudio Dngine (ptions in Sibelius! *his
should al"ays be your >rst step!
A larger bu%%er siLe "ill be mu'h easier on your
'omputer! Go"e)er, "hen you enter notes there "ill
be a longer delay bet"een pressing the $ey and
hearing the sound 6laten'y7!
Sin'e .ote/er%ormer is not suitable %or li)e
per%orman'e or re'ording any"ay 6see J9nable to do li)e re'ordingJ7 the re'ommendation is to use as
large bu%%er siLe as you are 'om%ortable "ith! 2042 samples or higher "ill ma$e things easier %or your
'omputer, i% you are >ne "ith that laten'y!
Bou may also "ant to loo$ into "hat your sample rate setting is! <or normal use, a sample rate o% 44100
GL 6C? 5uality7 or 42000 GL 6>lm 5uality7 is ad)isable!

When the entries are missing, the entire note@s dynami's is 'hanged, not Must the atta'$!
I% that is the 'ase %or your proMe't, you may need to add these entries manually to your di'tionary! Bou

manually!

Currently unsupported by Sibelius
I% you end a slur on a note and immediately begin a
ne" slur %rom the same note, Sibelius may 'hoose to
ignore the se'ond slur in playba'$!
Similar problems 'an o''ur "hen you put a
slur inside another slur!
*he solution is to a)oid notating this "ay i% you need
a''urate legato playba'$! 9se a single 'ontinuous slur
to indi'ate legato!
