A Peek at Our Week: Reading: We will continue a project-based learning unit to study genres of literature. Math: We will finish a unit on adding within 100. Test on Friday Writing: We will continue our animal research project to determine if our favorite animal would make a good pet. Science/Social Studies: We will start a unit on animal classifications. Reminders: We will start selling yearbooks on Monday, May 12th. The cost of a yearbook is $12 for students. Sound Check: We will be learning about compound words this week. Examples of compound words are butterfly, pancake, cupcake, and hummingbird. Sight Words and Family Words: Compound words: bedtime, sunset, bathtub, sailboat, flagpole (all 5 words will be on the spelling test)
